GH1 questions

I want to dust off my GH1 and test a couple patches. Not sure where to start, maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

In the FAQ, there are multiple patches by LPowell.

I have a 3rd party battery that worked for a couple weeks, then the GH1 body stopped recognizing it. Can anyone recommend a reputable source of 3rd party GH1 batteries, or should I be looking for originals?

Anything I need to know if I want to use a c-mount lens in 4:3 or 1:1 crop mode?

Use the humpman patch. Gh1 has no issues with batteries. Just get another off ebay

Best settings are made by humpman as he also made custom patches that are absent in original PTool.

Grabbed one of these. It says 3200mah, but I guess I'll have to test to find out if that's true.

@punkman @humpman's setting is the best GH1 24/25p firmware hack currently. Perfect in low ISO, superb in high ISO. Until ISO 640/800 (equal to ISO 1250 on later GH model), GH1 with @humpman's setting is good. A nice firmware hack to shake the old monster!

@punkman the original Panasonic batteries are the best. I have had a lot of issues with the GH2 when I used a third-party battery. All my original Panasonic batteries are still perfect. If you are not using your camera for some time, just keep in mind to charge the batteries only 50%
