Sony a7s XAVC, VLC codec on modest laptop

    I've downloaded a native Sony a7s XAVCfile and I noticed that it don't play smoothly on my cheap laptop using VLC - a 2012 dual core- it stops every 1,5 seconds. Do you think it is a matter of hardware or should I install additional codec,etc? I have no problem with AVCHD..

    Ps. I have never experienced problem playing hack GH2 files with this laptop (I do not use it for editing, but just to preview the files where I am travelling, etc...)
