Nikon and Canon have downward adjusted target global DSLR camera shipments for fiscal year 2014 (April 2014-March 2015) from 5.05 million units to 4.9 million units and from seven million units to 6.5 million units, respectively, according to the companies.
In the third quarter of 2014, Nikon shipped 1.79 million consumer digital cameras globally, decreasing on year by near 29%, 1.08 million DSLR cameras, down nearly 22%, and 1.48 million DSLR lenses, down 22%.
