720p 60 workflow with flowmotion

    i shoot in720p because i do alot of slo mo in post. i edit and render in progressive then i author and burn my dvd and sometimes a blu ray. i use sony vegas 12. i use nero 10 for dvd authoring. im getting terrible slo mo even just going down to 50%. im getting better results shooting in 1080i. i believe it is a workflow issue and not the patch but any insight is appreciated.. thanx

    Disable 'smart resample' in Vegas. Slow down to 1/ 2.5 = 40% if you render in 24p. Use shutter speed of 1/125sec to come close to 180degree.

    If you need more flexibility try twixtor plugin and use higher shutter speed.

    first off thank you for your reply. but why would i render to 24p if its 780p and lastly should i render to progressive or interlaced if my burn is dvd

    your post reads like i need to slo down my 780p footage to 40% and render the whole project as 24p. i dont understand that. thanks so much for helping me

    I think you mix up frame rate with Resolution. 24/60 = 1/2.5 = 40%.
