    1. Is it available for Android devices as well as iOS? Yes, we expect it will be available in both iOS and Android versions when it first hits the market.

    2. Will it record the still and videos to the smartphone or tablet? Yes, it will record the native resolution of the IR imager, which is 160×120 as either a still or video, your choice. We’re working to ensure the temperature highlights transfer along as well. You’ll be able to label the images after you record them. You’ll can transfer them to other computers, text and email them too. We’re considering GEO tagging the images as well.

“Thermal imaging will soon become ubiquitous and part of our everyday lives, like the adoption of PCs, cellphones and GPS before it.” That’s the prediction from Tim Fitzgibbons, consumer electronics pioneer and co-founder of Seek Thermal Inc., a startup IR specialist company that has just launched the latest thermal camera for smartphones.

Thermal imaging add-ons to smartphones such as this Android are expected to reach sales of tens of thousands in 2015, according to a Yole Développement market report
