Advice on CNC Machining by IGES Files

    Hi Guys,

    I recently gained access to some CNC Machining equipment, which is capable of processing IGES Files. I would love for some of you to point me to the right direction, concerning which Software I would use to create 3D IGES Files from my Ideas.

    I am familiar with Photoshop and Cinema 4D, but this seems to be another story, thanks in advance for your advice! :)

    IGES is an old format and most 3D CAD programs can open it, AUTOcad, Solidworks, etc. It's not usually something that you can open with something like Photoshop.

    Try this though. Go to www.emachineshop.com and download their free design program. It seems to be able to import and export IGES files. It's fairly limited in what it can do but it might fit your needs.
