Premiere export - colours and brightness shifted
  • Hi,

I'm having an issue when I export my timeline to a prores file. The resulting file is brighter and the blue has shifted towards purple. It plays fine on the timeline out to the monitor and also resolve was displaying it correctly too.

Has anyone else had this issue? What do I need to do to correctly export the file?

    Thanks

    Tony

  • what kind of player? Did you try different ones? If it was QT X it's our beloved Gamma Shift. Try MPEG Stream Clip.

  • And check the automatic in the ProRes encoding to "None"…

  • Yeah I'm using Quicktime X, just tried in VLC and it looks correct. Mpeg streamclip has the color shift problem though.

I will change the automatic to none to see if that fixes it.

  • Unfortunately I still get the same issue even when i set prores gamma correction to none.

Is there an alternative compression program to mpeg streamclip that might display the file correctly?

  • shure? MPEG stream clip should display correctly, QT X is too bright and slightly too pale
