Any tips on 3x3" quality filters ?

    I bought a used Chrosziel SD 1001 SunShade with 3x3” double filter-stage. Checked on eBay, not many of these filters. I need ND filters or linear + circular in order to make a variable ND ?! Or is is best to invest on 77mm filters and use this "mini matte box" just as sunshade ?
