War: Czech inflation reached new records
  • Consumer prices in the Czech Republic in May increased year on year by 16%, growth accelerated even more compared to April - 14.2%.

    • Food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 15.1% in May;
    • Gas prices are higher year-on-year by about 49.2%;
    • For solid fuel - by 30.1%;
    • For electricity - by 30.8%;
    • For heating and hot water you will have to pay 17.8% more;
    • For gasoline at gas stations they take about 44.3% more than a year ago;
    • Prices for goods increased by 17.7%, and for services - by 13.1%.

    Inflation remains the highest since December 1993, when prices rose by 18.2%.
