Germany: Eating less meat is your contribution to the fight against Putin
  • “Eating less meat is also a contribution to the fight against Putin.”

So told the Germans Cem Ozdemir, Minister of Agriculture of Germany, a representative of the greens and - here's a coincidence - a vegetarian.

In addition, Ozdemir called for a reduction in food prices. He criticizes proposals to lower gasoline prices and the global focus on fuel rather than a potential food crisis:

“Not everyone has a car... But everyone needs food. Everyone depends on it."

However, according to the minister, first of all, a food strike threatens Africa and Asia. There will simply be nothing to eat there.

  • Reality is very glimpse:

Vice-Chancellor, Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection of Germany Robert Habek said that the country's gas supply next winter is still in question. He said this on the radio station Deutschlandfunk before the flight to Qatar.

According to him, if Germany does not receive more gas by next winter or Russian gas supplies are interrupted, then there will be no way to heat the homes of citizens or keep the industry up to par.

Habek expressed concern that Germany could face a domino effect: when gas supplies to the industry fail at a certain stage, the lack of energy resources will be felt at other facilities.
