People are not fans of office work anymore
  • A Hackajob survey of 2,000 British techies found that 72% of workers found it important to be able to work remotely. Every fifth employee was looking for a new job with the ability to do it remotely.

A slightly newer poll from Microsoft found that British techies find this feature very important. According to their survey, more than half of workers will start thinking about firing if they are forced back into offices.

A poll from Future Forum Pulse showed that IT specialists from the USA, Britain, Australia, France, Germany and Japan agree on one thing - most want to work remotely at least partially. 75% want more choices about where to work, and 93% want more choices about where to work. Why? Most often - "to improve the balance of work and personal life."

The point is that most business owners and directors haven’t taken the hint yet. 44% of them want to work in offices. At the same time, among employees, this percentage is only 17. Three quarters of bosses want to work in the office 3-5 days a week - and only 34% of employees want the same.

    Nice progress.
