China: Ban on all sissies on TV and internet
  • Broadcasters will now have to "put an end to male sissies and other abnormal aesthetics," the agency overseeing Chinese television said. Channels are now required to avoid promoting "vulgar Internet celebrities" and worshiping wealth and fame. Instead, portrayal of "excellent Chinese traditional culture, revolutionary culture and advanced culture of socialism" will be encouraged.

Earlier it was reported that the country's authorities are afraid that the appearance of Chinese pop stars, which they have adopted from South Korean and Japanese performers and actors, cannot induce Chinese young people to be more courageous.

    Traditional family, traditional values.

  • Lol. Wish them luck on that. Is ok to be gay nothing against them, they are an emergent properties of a society, is part of natural demographics from god know when.

But in China if you are gay you are fucked. Russia is a little bit more relaxed. North Korea should be executions I assume. Maybe they have a new roll on that society that we don’t know about. Some kind of secret geisha stuff for males only president level stuff. Lol

It is not about real gays, it is about normal males who are anti masculine. It is very common for various pop stars and such in asian countries.

  • They are trying to stamp out the "cosmetic" influence of male K-pop idols.

  • Reuters reports that China on Monday banned advertisements for so-called "medical beauty loans" from playing on televisions, radios and online platforms, saying such advertisements enticed young people with low interest rates, while misleading consumers and causing other "adverse effects".
