I think a large part of Fujifilm’s famous color science comes from the use of x-trans sensor. Aside from there being more, and larger green receptors, their size and position help with YUV color space’s luma channel since a larger portion of luminance comes from green as per human perception. This helps with skin tones and landscape type of skin, not just because of the color green but also because subtle light changes and gradients can be registered due to higher luminance channel fidelity.
