Small info from talks and leaks:

Canon won't make any new lenses except ones announced and may be small kit lens update.
Canon won't make any significant body design updates until whole system will be shelved
But due to fact that some bodies had been almost ready before EOS R mount they will be released still
It is expected that 4K crop will remain, but will be smaller, as well as serial shooting speed will be up around 30%
Canon will took special pause until releasing first EOS R APS-C bodies to try to clear stock of all EOS-M line

Bad news for those who like the EOS M system, myself included. A new rumor suggests Canon might not continue the EOS M lineup after 2021.
