These are my first planar magnetic headphones. Why did I wait so long? The price. Now that they are competitively priced they are definitely worth a listen. My take aways are:

1. They are non-fatiguing and I like way my ears feel after listening, which is not the case with with most (dynamic) headphones and ear buds I have tried.
2. Incredible detail, super high resolution transient response, great stereo imaging.
3. Sounds like they could be good for judging mixing and mastering choices.
4. Probably the closest sound to being like “speakers in a room” verses than other (dynamic) headphones have tried.

So, these fix a lot issues I have with (dynamic) headphones. And I recommend you try them if you want to feel like you ears did when you were 20. I feel like these are almost like having hearing aids as they enhance your ability to hear details and transients without having to turn things up to hear everything.

If they broke I would replace them in a heartbeat as I need them as a tool.
