Capitalism: Seagate owners fire another 600 workers, 7400 total in year

On July 25, 2017, the Company committed to a restructuring plan to reduce its cost structure. The July 2017 Plan included reducing the Company’s global headcount by approximately 600 employees. The July 2017 Plan was largely completed by the end of the September 2017 quarter.
Previous two plans combined was another 6800 people.
