GH5 Live Crop Question

Anyone using it and is it any good. Can it replace a slider?

No it can not replace slider, because of lacking of parallax effect. Cropping and moving frame in post is more accurate than using this feature. But if they made next gen of this feature with slightly moving sensor when panning... anyway it is not enough to make any noticeable parallax.

To tell it simpler - position of camera does not change.
Now sliders are very cheap, get one.
