Tascam DR22WL v Video Mic Pro and Go

Just testing my VMP v my Go v Tascam-DR22WL which I just got. Does everyone else get this shitty hiss on the video mic pro? I've not used my VMP for a while and and now I want to use it again it's sooooo annoying. That saramonic Vmic sounds great in comparison but I can't find in UK. Any top suggestions for replacement top mic gratefully received - Tascam is stereo and just for recording a show.
