It doesn't look bad to me except there is a fair amount of noise in the blacks. I wonder if you have iDynamic turned on?

@Mistas sorry, just assumed you were shooting video. Were you using the electronic shutter? That will often cause problems with artificial lighting due to the sensor scan speed which is independent of shutter speed.

I haven't done a direct comparison (sold my GH3), but I think the GH4 has less noise in blue skies at base ISO. They're very clean whereas the GH3 always had some visible noise viewed at 100%.

@scumbag personally I would turn i.dynamic off. It does seem to produce mushy shadow noise.

@gameroja you may know this, but if not, audio levels are available from the rear LCD, in the fly-out movie tab on the right side of the screen. It's a permanent soft function button.

Whatever the problems may be with audio sync at 24fps on Vimeo and Youtube, I don't think the problem is with the camera. I tested with my Rode Video Mic and there was no problem using VLC player or QT player.

You only get the exposure meter if you're in manual exposure mode. Otherwise you just get the +/- EV display, and zebras if you turn them on.

Resolution test showing the difference between GH4 at 4K and the GH3 uprezzed to 4K. What might look like aliasing in the GH4 shot was actually produced by my craptastic laser printer. :)

@Manu4vendetta you don't need the YAGH to record 4:2:2 in either 1080 or 4K, but at the moment there are no recorders available that will do 4K over HDMI. Supposedly the Shogun will when it's released but that's a $2k unit.

@hammyuk ETC mode doesn't do anything in 4K since 4K is already using 1:1 pixels.

This seems like a bug to me: when using an AF lens in AF mode you can half-press the shutter release and manual focus, but focus peaking doesn't work even if it's enabled.
