Canon XA25 - HDSDI - 10bit 4:2:2 Recording - ???

    Hello,

    When using the HD-SDI output on the Canon XA25 to record to something like the "Blackmagic Hyperdeck Shuttle" or the "Atmos Samurai"

    Do you get footage in 10bit / 4:2:2 color spaces as both of these recorders promise?

    Supposedly it is 4:2:2, but I don't know if anyone tested it who actually knows for sure, that is, I would recommend you test it in a store to make sure it is what you want. You need a bitmeter.

    definitely reported to be 8 bit by users, have not tried it myself.
