Cheap fluos with softbox lighting kits

Anyone have an opinion on using these kind of lights

True but the discussion goes all over the place. I was hoping for a more focused discussion by some of the more experience members who could share their opinions using these particular lights.

If you check topic I referenced and other topics, you'll find all you need.

They are good for studio use if you want average light quality and plenty of uncontrollable light.

Hm, not much info on that thread specific to softboxes, more of a discussion about which would be the better fluos/lights to buy.

Assuming I had the best fluos, I wonder if these softboxes are a viable lighting alternative to fresnels/kinoflo/HMI, etc? Anyone use(d) them?
