Cheap wide angle solution for older 50mm primes?

    Just wondering what would be a cheap wide angle adapter around 0.5x for older 50mm lenses to effectively get 25mm view angle but with more DOF. I've seen everything from $10 to $200 but just want decent glass and not to much barrel distortion/color aberration.

    Check category please for wide adapters topics.
    0.5x adapters are very rare breed.
    And even 0.75x acceptable quality adapters are usually work good with certain lenses only.

    It is much, much better idea to just get proper wider lens or zoom.
