  • I looked into this issue a little bit. There are some experts that disagree with the point of view of the film. One problem is statistics on oil reserves are guarded as issues of national security. So it's difficult to pinpoint where we actually stand . It looks like however many of the counter arguments are presented by scientists on the payroll of energy companies.

    They mostly not disagree with point of view. They disagree with some numbers :-)

    And if you look at present situation it is clear that all leading countries quote agree with most points as they fight for remaining resources harder than ever.

    But there are still a lot of experts that say oil sand reserves and new technologies can keep us fat and happy for another 150 years. But these experts seem to have the habit of accepting large amounts of money from energy companies..

    And if you look at present situation it is clear that all leading countries quote agree with most points as they fight for remaining resources harder than ever.

    The video explicitly states that all the OPEC countries use the exact same figure for oil reserves year after year, or, show the reserves increasing. In other words, the more oil the world uses, the more oil we have according to OPEC. According to OPEC, you'd think fossil fuels are renewable.
