Got yesterday the "cheap rig" from Vitaliy's catch deals. I am very happy with it, great quality for the price, for those who were doubting if the base can be mounted on a tripod, answer is yes it does as long as you do not need to adjust hight of the camera, a future you can do with the base out of the tripod. Since I plan to use it with the "matte box for beginners" from the same manufacturer and I can adjust the hight of the matte box they go perfect together. Everything looks very sturdy, all metal, shoulder pad very confortable but not as handsome as the rest of the rig. In fact the only plastic part is the top of the shoulder pad, but it looks durable.
