windows platform: how to convert a MTS file without losseing any quality for editing.

i have my gh2 recorded some video clips. but i can not edit in premier pro cs3, as i cannot use pp cs5 so how could i convert the mts files without losing any quality of the file.

Neoscene Cineform for $129. I'm not sure if the free Studio version will convert AVCHD.
