The world's largest music labels Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group have teamed up to save the planet from global warming. The record giants have signed the Music Climate Pact, a commitment to decarbonize the industry by 2050.

Streaming service Spotify has pledged to support the record giants in their quest to reduce their negative impact on the planet. Together they will study the carbon footprint of touring, vinyl production, and the generation of energy for listening to music over the Internet.
