Chutzpah: Nikon stole people money, openly and loudly
  • Nikon Japan has announced, via a product notice, that its Z7 and Z7 II camera systems will no longer come with the previously-included EH-7P AC power adapter. Of course, they lied to hide real intentions and constantly repeated that this is due issues with sourcing components as a result of the global semiconductor shortage.

All camera companies are greedy bastards who never care about you or your needs.

  • It's called free market capitalism. If a buyer is willing to pay for your product at any given price, then it's a win - win. The only caveat is that the company can't by law (and shouldn't by ethics) be deceptive regarding false claims or hyperbolic statements.

Free market capitalism is if both sides of deal are equal, it is not such with any product made by large company.

You can't go an select camera with included adapter, it won't be one at all.

Same way you are not able to buy Z mount camera from other manufacturer, only from Nikon who charge big premium for this.

  • Yes, but that's what competition, when allowed, helps police. I can buy from companies B, C or D if I don't like company A's offer.

  • @firstbase

"Competition" thing does not work foh any complex product made by thousands of people.

For example, if you invested thousands of hours in Photoshop knowledge it is sick to ask you to look for other, competing stuff.

    Same is true for camera.
