Is some one working on soft solution for time lapse? I am not talking about 2 fps mode. Some kind of time interval that let do separate photos.
Why not just pick up a cheap intervalometer?
We've had this in Magic Lantern for Canon's for a while now, but I still prefer the old fashioned way of using a separate intervalometer. It's simple and reliable, and you can find them for $20 all over the internet.
Yes, maybe it is fashioned but I also use a Canon 550d and I have there a very good soft that lets me do time lapse in very simple way.
By the way I love GH2 more that canon
@jacogh You know the consequences of photo timelapsing on shutter life expectancy, right? If you could live with JPEG and reduced resolution, I believe there are people successively using the electronic shutter photo mode teamed up with an intervalometer without wearing the physical shutter.
That sounds interesting @duartix, how do you set it to electronic shutter ? That will save a lot of wear and tear and no annoying clicks
yeah, how?
theres an example here http://vimeo.com/sylwesterbartczak/videos but looks like you can't do RAW and less the 1/40th of a second shutter
It is mostly known as the Burst Speed SH (40fps). Don't forget to switch off the shutter sound simulation.
I was interested in knowing the penalty of using the mechanical shutter for Time Lapse on GH1. Reading around.
