    I recently saw LG monitors with BOE cheap panels and it is becoming widespread.

    Samsung also started installing random panels (one batch can significantly differ from next) to all but the top TVs and many monitors.

    Especially is affects most popular 4K monitor and small TV sizes (that can also be monitors) - 32", 40" and 43".

    BOE can make good panels, but most of them time Chinese like cut cut corners. So you can get some weird color issues, backlight inconsistancy, issues with color depth (lot of 6bit FRC panels) and so on.

    Backlight cooling (I call it - lack of cooling) is usually totally horrible on BOE (and only slightly better for Smasung and LG).
