Computer Sales: Motherboard business is shrinking

    • Gigabyte Technology motherboard shipments to fall under 10 million units in 2018 (at peak it was 20 million in 2013).
    • Asustek Computer is expected to have motherboard shipments for 2018 at 16.5 million units (same as in 2017)
    • Micro-Star International sales will rise to 6 million units
    • ASRock sales will also rise, but not a lot
    • Two parasitic niches are in good state - mining and gaming
    • Estimated global decline - at least 10%
