    All AMD Ryzen processors actually have now 8 cores on die. Yet on most shipped processors part of them is disabled. Normal though can be that it is due to defects. But factory leaks tell that actual outcome of 100% functioning 8 cores now is more than 80% and much more if you reduce cores to 6. So, AMD is doing intentional customer damage now turning off cores. Btw, it is nothing new, from modern GPUs same are RX 460, RX 470, GTX 1070 and more.
