it looks like this new stacked sensor essentially gives us global shutter if it works the same in normal video and photo modes as it does in the slow motion modes. one of the big problems with stabilizing in post is that rolling shutter becomes more noticeable even when done on top of in camera stabilization, as i have experienced with my e-m5.
smaller sensor low light performance aside, the rx10ii and rx100iv could be huge game changers for run and gun documentary shooters.
