I don't think there is any way to scratch a glass with ice. The only thing you can scratch lens glass with is some sand particles in your brush.
After you take out the batteries water can't do anything bad to your camera. Water doesn't kill electronics, short-circuits and salt (from drinks or salt water) do. As soon as the battery is out you can safely wash you camera in distilled water, just make sure you dry it out completely before putting battery back. Well, of course I wouldn't advice you to wash your camera, as there can be charged capacitors inside (especially in flash) and it will not be easy to dry it out.
