    For now such monitors are at very high premium and as it is professional field marketing play much less role here compared to other mass field

    Very high res panels have zero use at this diagonals. Nature is your limit.

    Does it have a USB connector for (remote) firmware upgrades?

    Thing with devices without good or backup battery is that providing such ability can lead to issues.
    Just remember horror stories using third party batteries that lead to sudden turn off.
    Hope they will come with some useful solution.

    For the update: Maybe just power the internal electronics via USB (not the panel itselfe) and if somebody rips out the USB cable during a firmware update - its his own fault.

    :-) Result is the same. And powering via USB is hardly possible.
