This will be the first professional PEN with weather-sealing and professional body. New sensor design and revolutionary viewfinder are rumored as well. I hope it is a good rival for the Fuji, as I want to stay in the MFT system.

HKC B6000/B7000 - 25inch/27inch 2k IPS Monitor - $340 https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/18556/hkc-b6000b7000-25inch27inch-2k-ips-monitor-340 Fri, 22 Dec 2017 12:21:13 +0000 shoe_e 18556@/talks/discussions enter image description here So normally I'm pretty selfish about these things. If I find something super awesome floating out among the interwebs, I tend to keep them to myself until I've made sure I've had my fill. Having said that, I actually bit the bullet (since I already had 2 very solid ips panels, 1 decent ultrawide ips, and one super cheap ips panel), and bought myself the 25" B6000. If you can find the B7000 in stock somewhere, good for you. I'm always searching for stuff, so I always find all this random stuff on places like Gearbest, or Lightinthebox, or Banggood. Most of it is untested and have little to no reviews, but for certain things I'm willing to be the guinea pig. In the case of the HKC B6000, the sleekness and alleged specs seemed way too awesome for the price. enter image description here

After some painstaking Google Translate and tons of research, I managed to find some fantastic reviews of the monitor. They were all in a foreign language (which to me is pretty much anything that isn't English), but after translating the pages made me believe that this may actually be a fantastic purchase. Yes you can find 2k ips monitors for cheaper than this, but not sleeker. This is actually a giant chunk of metal. I've had the monitor for about 3 weeks now and my un-technical review is the following: I definitely plan on picking up a spydercolor elite or something to calibrate the monitor. That being said, according to the specs page and many reviews (which I'll post below this blurb), this is a 10bit monitor with 99% Adobe RGB. From what I've seen, the display is amazing and the color is fantastic, but at the same time since I haven't calibrated my monitors, I'm not sure which colors are off. Once I do that, I'll have a better review. In terms of bezel, this thing actually has picture-accurate thin bezel. I thought the bezel on the Viewsonic VX2370SMH was very good, but this is much thinner. As I mentioned before, this is one seamless piece of metal, so it is not a light monitor in any fashion. It also tends to run hotter than monitors in plastic housings, but I haven't run into any overheating issues yet and I don't think it's an issue. The menu does come in Chinese, I believe. No disrespect, I just don't know the differences between those languages and I don't mean to insult anyone with my ignorance on the topic. You can change the language to English. If I missed anything, please feel free to comment and I'll try to respond in a reasonable time. In the meantime, enjoy these reviews and images. Most of these contain detailed color analysis of the monitors. Again, none of these reviews are in English, so translate if necessary.

OSEE Direct monitor https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/12853/osee-direct-monitor- Wed, 22 Apr 2015 15:25:05 +0000 VideoVillage 12853@/talks/discussions In looking for a monitor for Video Village use for directs to watch, and for myself to use on color correction work I stumbled across www.oseedirect.com and their LCM156 monitor. I saw their video on YouTube
and was very impressed by the features this monitor offers. 178 x 178 degree viewing angle, waveform, vectorscope, 16 channels of audio metering, loop through HDSDI, HDMI in, and factory calibrated are just a few of the features this monitor offers. Most monitors that are 15.6" and offers these features run at the very least - $2,000, but no these guys are selling it for $649.00

Needless to say I put in the order and I got the monitor within a week. I was absolutely happy with the purchase. It's so much more than I expected, and my friend who has a Flanders is asking where to buy this monitor.

The only downside is that I need to get a custom box to mount it to my C-Stand, however I emailed OSEEDirect and they said they're going to be offering one soon - that they're developing - that will mount to C-Stands, come with a Hoodman, and a pelican style case. Needless to say I'm one happy customer and was also very excited to hear they're offering the same monitor in 10" and 23" later in the year. I can see myself buying the 10" (They estimated the price to be under $500!!!)

I wanted to share my experience and hopefully help this small company gain some traction. They have gained a lifetime customer with me.

Rode Reporter + H4N or H6 or ... a good combination? https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/12388/rode-reporter-h4n-or-h6-or-...-a-good-combination Sat, 14 Feb 2015 05:16:46 +0000 flypa 12388@/talks/discussions I think the Rode Reporter suits my use case (interviews, interviews at exhibitions, outdoor interviews) well since it's omniidirectional and I do not need to remember the microphone position.

Would Rode Reporter + H4N or H6 be a good combination?

Would the H4N suffice or would I get significantly better sound using the H6?

Would it be a professional audio quality or for what one has to go to reach ideal sound?

Or should I got for another portable audio recorder?

Panasonic AG-AC160 For Sale (re-listed) £2300 https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/5764/panasonic-ag-ac160-for-sale-re-listed-2300 Sun, 13 Jan 2013 11:05:15 +0000 Sph1nxster 5764@/talks/discussions I am selling a Panasonic AG-AC160 (firmware updated) Camcorder. UK RRP £3500

The camcorder is 15 months old and still within its 3 year warranty. The camera is in perfect condition, no scratches or damage whatsoever. Fully functional and has been a perfect performer for quite a few jobs now. Original box and all cables / manuals

Individual Items as follows :- (subject to additional shipping costs)

  • AC160 = £2300

All items are based in Peterhead, Scotland, UK and will ship to most countries

If you are interested in any or all of these items then please PM me. Please note PAYPAL will be required for transaction and items can only be sent once payment has been received.

The reason i am selling these items is that we wish to downsize our operations into micro four thirds format for all our cameras and the sale of the AC160 is to generate enough money to purchase another GH3 with lenses.

If you are wanting an excellent performing camcorder for ENG work that is capable of producing stunning images then this should be a serious consideration to save some money.

Thanks,
