I've made the switch to modern glass that streamlines working with stills, and I don't use these as much anymore. Nothing optically wrong with any of them, just would prefer to see them get more use. I prefer to sell in bunches, rather than individually, and anyone needing a full range prime set/zoom or a backup set I'll offer a good discount as well. I've had these primes for quite some time now, and they have been picked because I felt they were the best performers compared to their siblings. Mostly used on the BMCC w/ Metabones adapter. ALL work with the SLR Magic Anamophot (except 80-200 zoom which I did not test) Did I mention they all have a lovely LONG focus throw. These are a great set.

Nikkor 28mm f2.8 AI-S - $150 (Exc condition, fung that has been UV treated on front element, outside of the image circle, does NOT affect IQ) Nikkor 35mm f2.0 AI - $170 (Exc condition, no dust/haze. Comes with helicoptersean seamless followfocus ring) Nikkor 50mm F1.8 AI - $100 (Exc condition, no dust/haze. Comes with helicoptersean seamless follow focus ring) Nikkor Micro (Macro) 55mm f2.8 AI-S - $125 (Exc condition, no dust/haze) Nikkor 85mm f2.0 AI - $250 (Exc condition, small dust specs, doesn't affect IQ. My favorite of the bunch) Nikkor 80-200mm F4 AI-S $125 (Exc condition, small dust, doesn't affect IQ. Sharp, sharp, sharp)

Or $850 for all of them plus shipping. Thanks guys! PM me or e-mail me at innersparkfilms@gmail.com if you have any questions!

I'd rather use one official Metabones Speed Booster with a second adapter than having it all in one generic Speed Booster adapter, but I'll take all idea's. Metabones currently makes MFT, NEX/E-Mount, and Fuji X Speed Boosters, so ideally I'm looking for one of those mounts to C-Mount. I'm having trouble finding such an adapter. Thanks.

The artist ran me over completely in post and the official video is (in my opinion) at best at the level of a rough cut, she didn't even want color correction. VFX was also out the window.

So here is my intended version of the video that we agreed upon. Shot on GH2 with Flowmotion and Nikkor AI and AI-S lenses, edited in FCPX and graded in Resolve.

Parafocal, Controllable Iris Zooms for m4/3rds https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/11212/parafocal-controllable-iris-zooms-for-m43rds Sat, 06 Sep 2014 08:51:17 +0000 Treetah 11212@/talks/discussions Hey guys. Had a question about lenses for my GH2 (hopefully soon to be GH4).

I'm looking for some parafocal zooms. Here's some criteria:

  • native or adaptable to m4/3rds
  • manual iris or adapter that includes iris control
  • hard stop focusing preferred
  • breathing I don't mind but nothing outrageous
  • no too-slow apertures like f8 or f16
  • need a few choices for cinema-purpose films
  • also some choices for live event/lecture shooting
  • zoom controls huge plus! (I plan on using my rigs FF)
  • under $5k
  • broader focal length range preferred

I've had my eye on the Nikor 50-300 f4.5 for example.

Thanks for the input!

PR

Nikon Inc. announced the new COOLPIX S810c, which combines Nikon’s powerful camera imaging technologies and the vast capabilities of the AndroidTM Operating System (OS). Whether photographing friends dancing into the night or fast-action sports, the 16.0-megapixel COOLPIX S810c helps users never again settle for sharing a sub-par cell phone photo to their social networks.

"The COOLPIX S810c combines the best parts of a Nikon camera and the limitless possibilities of the Android Operating System, so users can seamlessly integrate their digital lives with their creative passions," said Masahiro Horie, Director of Marketing and Planning, Nikon Inc. "Nikon COOLPIX S810c users will be able to stay connected and share everyday moments with ease through Full HD video and amazing stills."

Capture and Share Photos, Without Sacrificing Image Quality

The new Nikon COOLPIX S810c provides users with the power to capture high quality images in low-light or from a distance, delivering the results that would otherwise be a challenge to capture with a smartphone. The COOLPIX S810c features a 16.0-megapixel, backside illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor for excellent low-light ability, and a 12x optical zoom NIKKOR lens (with24x Dynamic Fine Zoom) to get the sharp shots from up close or far away. Further bolstering the low-light capability of the S810c, the camera has an ISO range up to 3200, as well as Lens-Shift Vibration Reduction (VR) to help banish blurry photos, even while shooting handheld. To capture those special moments, the camera also has a fast continuous shooting mode.

Stay Connected, Share Effortlessly With Built-in Wi-Fi®

Whether liking a status or tagging a photo, COOLPIX S810c users can seamlessly share their most memorable moments with friends and family with the AndroidTM 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Operating System. When accessing Google Play™, users have access to endless apps including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and many other apps where they can share photos and stay connected. With the Android OS, users can surf the web, read their latest emails, browse through their friends’ photos and videos, navigate with maps as well as many other functions offered by Android apps. The built-in Wi-Fi capabilities of the S810c provide a simple way to directly share photos instantly with friends and family. When no external Wi-Fi network is available, users can also connect to a compatible smartphone or tablet via the dedicated "Connect to S810c" app1 in order to transfer, share and view their images on that smart device. Additionally, the COOLPIX S810c has built-in GPS for location-based apps, as well as a stereo headphone jack, which allows users to operate their camera as a mobile media player device. With the COOLPIX S810c users can easily navigate to their dinner date, while listening to their favorite playlist, and then shoot and share their entrée as well as the night’s details with friends, all with the same device.

Proven Nikon Technologies and Features

Whether sharing, swiping, composing or navigating, users will appreciate the wide and bright 3.7-in. touch-screen LCD monitor with 1.2 million-dot resolution, as well as the ability to capture Full 1080p HD video. Additionally, COOLPIX S810c photographers can explore their creativity with a variety of special and creative effects including user-friendly modes and features like Easy Panorama, which lets the user simply sweep the camera to create an ultra-wide panoramic image. Furthermore, the camera also features a new enhanced battery, allowing users to stay connected longer.

The Nikon COOLPIX S810c will be available in early May 2014 in Black or White for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $349.95

Nikon F to m43 adapters https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2492/nikon-f-to-m43-adapters Mon, 05 Mar 2012 15:57:31 +0000 WarrantyVoided 2492@/talks/discussions The go-to shop for good adapters, ciecio7, unfortunately does not list a Nikon F to MFT adapter. I did send some questions, but unfortunately I did not receive any answer. Apparently they do exist, Grue has one, but I can't sit and wait for years to come. I did consider getting some Canon to MFT, but this leaves the issue of a solid Nikon to Canon adapter, preferably one which allows to change aperture by means of a ring or so. (There do exist adapters with a confirm chip, but with the Canon to MFT this won't work anyway.)

Does somebody know another seller which offers the cheaper adapters, but has a solid check to deliver consistent adapters? I'd love to get an adapter with aperture control (manual of course) and a tripod mount.

Nikon AI(S) vs Canon FD for Video (GH2, GH1)? https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/384/nikon-ais-vs-canon-fd-for-video-gh2-gh1 Thu, 14 Jul 2011 22:18:06 +0000 qwerty123 384@/talks/discussions
The pricing of these lenses seems to be getting closer by the day (FDs seemed to be cheaper a few years ago). But apart from the way the focus turns, is there much of a difference between these lens lines for video work?

Specifically, I'm interested in IMAGE QUALITY / DIFFERENCES.

I've heard some people say they like the contrast and rendition of Canon FDs (Hunter Richards, I think), and that Canons tend to be a little "warmer" in color than Nikons. Wouldn't white balancing cancel out that effect?

(I know that there is the L series of FD... but we can leave that issue to the side unless you think it is important.)]]>
Speed Booster or Native MFT Lenses? https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/10049/speed-booster-or-native-mft-lenses Thu, 03 Apr 2014 15:01:04 +0000 Kokav 10049@/talks/discussions I have a GH2. I primarily do video. I have three native MFT lenses: Panasonic 25mm f/1.4, 14mm f/2.5, and 14-140mm f/4.0-5.6. I have done a lot of searching about the Metabones Speed Booster but want some confirmation if I should go ahead and get one. I really like Nikkor AIS lenses and am wondering if it would be wise to invest in a set of AIS lenses (and possibly some others) and a Speed Booster rather than more native MFT glass.

The reasons I want the Speed Booster are pretty obvious: extra stop of light, wider viewing angle... But I want to know if it's really worth it. Will it actually make my lenses look better? I really want to know what the downsides are. Are there GH2/3 shooters who use the Speed Booster exclusively?

I'd really appreciate any pointers or discussion on this.

One Perfect Lens? https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/4880/one-perfect-lens Sat, 13 Oct 2012 00:21:55 +0000 matt_gh2 4880@/talks/discussions I was hoping to get some feedback from anyone who's used the Nikon 17-55 lens (with the f 2.8 available all the way through the zoom) or is familiar with it or other zoom lenses. What do you guys think about this lens as a single lens to shoot a narrative feature film. Our cinematographer wants to use one lens with a zoom as we are occasionally in cramped/tight locations, and the perfect shot is often between the fixed focal length lenses we have (18mm, 28, 50). I'm curious to see if anyone has any experience/knowledge of this lens' image quality, particularly when on a GH2 (will be using one of the Apocalypse Now settings. probably Boom - (thank you Driftwood))

The f 2.8 is pretty good for low light, but for very very low light we'll have ample lights at all time.

So what do you guys think...could this be one perfect lens?

I'm having trouble deciding and was wondering if anyone with the G6 has experience shooting sports video with it. Also what glass would you recommend? Most shots will be during the day in Texas sun. At least one with shallow depth of field for some artistic shots and a wide angle. Should I get the kit on Amazon with the 14-42mm and add from there? I saw some people recommending cannon lenses, cheap but good I think. Which camera do you think would have better video quality in 60 fps? I know that can effect editing with plugins like twixtor.

Thank you for your time, responses, and patience, I am a noob now but hope to be good at this eventually.

Nikon D7100 noise banding effect in video https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/9565/nikon-d7100-noise-banding-effect-in-video Fri, 07 Feb 2014 06:16:45 +0000 loop_1 9565@/talks/discussions Hi, in this days i used my new D7100 for some tests... good camera, good sharp, all good!

But there is a problem!! :-O

In the attached file you can see a test screenshoot (from a video frame) where in the underexposed areas (like the blue) there are some noise (but not much) and many lines, like small banding... this at 400 iso...

why this? IT's a D7100 problmem? Anyone have this issue?
