What Fluid Head is this!?!?

So my friend bought a Davis & Sanford 7518 tripod recently off Amazon, but instead of getting the popular FM18, she got a V18 fluid head, a model I've never seen before and can't even find any info on Google, Amazon, or B&H.

Anyone heard of this? Someone said that it's a rebadged fluid head, but he doesn't know which one. It does seem smoother than the FM18, though.

I have a new project I'm working on and require a portable, tripod mountable, smooth programmable/motorised panning head with remote control. I don't see the need to spend a grand or more on Kessler style stuff and have been looking at items like a Hague 360 Degrees Motorised Power Head With Remote Control. Mounting a GH4 / Sony A7SII.

Has anyone used the Hague or what's the best £500 ($700) max budget. Opinions sought.

I picked this up at Adorama a year and a half ago. It's only been out about six or seven times so it's in excellent condition. I've since sold my DSLR and no longer need the Libec. It's unbelievably smooth, like a mini O'Connor. 75mm ball head, 2 stage pan/tilt, spreader, softcase, and can handle up to 13lbs. Perfect for DSLR's, A7s, BMC, etc. Once you tried a Libec, you'll sell your Manfrotto or Cartoni Focus.

FS: Vintage O'Connor 50D Fluid Head w/ Gitzo Tripod

Built like a tank, and can handle broadcast ENG and cinema cameras with ease.

Don't know too much about it's specs, but I do know O'Connor fluid heads are legendary!

Pan and tilts fine, has a bit of a squeak when panning. Should be able to fix with some lubing.

Gitzo tripod has a ball head with 3/8" mount. Also works fine, just old.

Travel Tripod

Hi Guys,
Any suggestion on a compact travel tripod for our GH2? This is strictly for traveling purposes so weight along with its stability is important.
I’ve used SLIK PRO 700DX Professional Tripod with Manfrotto MH055M8-Q5 055 MAG Photo-Movie Head in the past and I would like to find a similar solution even more compact and as good as or even better than SLIK PRO 700DX.

An improved Head Up Display

Until now, HUD displays in cars looked like text sitting on the windscreen. Now it appears to float in front of the car.

The head-up display, which Mercedes-Benz is introducing into its first vehicle model as of 2014, takes this to a higher level. The system provides data on vehicle speed and speed limits, and issues navigation instructions and warnings from assistance systems. The ‘head-up display’ supplements the information in the instrument cluster. As in modern day aircraft, important information is reflected onto the windshield, directly in the driver’s field of vision, ensuring drivers are less distracted away from what is happening on the road ahead. Furthermore, the eyes do not have to adjust between distance vision and short-range vision, because the information seems to hover above the engine hood some two meters in front where drivers can absorb it without having to avert their gaze or make optical corrections.

Perhaps with similar but wearable technology (a la Google Glass), city streets will no longer be filled with pedestrians looking down at their phones?

Connecting Manfrotto MVH500A/AH fluid head and MT190XPRO4 tripod

I bought both of these items (the head with half bowl) and they both have a male 3/8" connector...

Not sure how they should attach? The Manfrotto video tripod legs (755XB) also have the same 3/8" attachment I think so unless it is female (and it doesn't look to be), am I missing something?

I thought the half bowl itself would have movement to allow me to level my camera without adjusting tripod legs, but it was rigid so I've reboxed it and returning for the flat base fluid head instead. I guess the flat base means a female 3/8" connector?

Only problem then being I need everything ready for Friday!!

I'm sure I don't need to explain this little guy. Bought it brand new about 9 months or so ago, then bought a 504HD setup right after so it's been used once. Can't get much newer than this. Selling all my other tripods so I can upgrade. I have it up on other sites for $475 but I'll sell it for $400 here plus shipping.

I'll take some new pics of it if anyone is interested.

Old Miller head needs new legs.

Hi, I have a old miller tripod. I love the head but hate the heavy spreaders. I've measured the bowl on the tripods and its 70mms but the head is about 75mm. Should i use the head or spreaders as a reference? Also will the bowl from newer and different brand spreaders mix and match with the old head i have? Thanks

Manfrotto MH055M8 Fluid Video/Photo Head

Still using my old Bogen/Manfrotto 3130 Head and as I have a rig on the way, I am realizing I am going to need some counter balance. Love my 3130 - smooth and portable, though been looking at the 502HD and the MH055. I like that the MH055 can handle up to 15 pounds (7kg), has 3-axis adjustment (for stills) and weighs just over a kilo (same as my 3130). The 502 only supports up to 8.8 pounds (roughly 4kg) and weighs a bit more. Granted the MH055 costs about $60 more, is there any reason the 502HD would be better? One feature I am not thrilled about on the MH055 is that you need to use a coin to adjust the pan handle angle - could probably swap it to a thumb screw, though. Looking at this video (specifically at 4:36), the counter balance setup looks pretty easy (and effective):
