The lubricant in the helicals has turned to non-lubricating goo and the movement is very stiff and sluggish. I want to have it cleaned/overhauled and modified so that it is parfocal on the BMPCC throughout its zoom range.

Three names come to mind to bring this lens production ready: Bernie O'Doherty in New York Edward Koehler in Germany Les Bosher in Wales.

Does anyone have other recommendations for engineers who can do this work?

TIA

Fujinon B4 Lens https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/5388/fujinon-b4-lens- Wed, 05 Dec 2012 21:49:55 +0000 questech 5388@/talks/discussions Hello Everyone.

It looks like the topic of using 2/3" Eng lenses has died down a bit.

I recently was selling a Servo Powered Zoom Grip with Power Cable and a Battery, but no one seemed to want it ??

After reading numerous posts in the various forums and blogs about people burning out their servos trying to power their lenses, I thought for sure that someone would want to buy a replacement... but no bites.

I think people out there need them, but don't think they will have any luck finding one so don't bother looking in the first place.

Please check out my videos by following the links below. On is for the Grip that I was selling on eBay, and the other is about a lens that I'm selling.

One video explains why and how I built the adapter cables, and the other shows the features of the Fujinon lens that I'm selling. The features include examples of the zoom characteristics.

I would appreciate your feedback, especially about where I might find people who need replacement grips... Where can I find them??

C mount Fujinon E6x14AM f/1.6 14-84mm : Conversion help & Sensor size https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/12513/c-mount-fujinon-e6x14am-f1.6-14-84mm-conversion-help-sensor-size Tue, 03 Mar 2015 10:52:28 +0000 Fujinonner 12513@/talks/discussions Hi all,

So I have a Fujinon E6X14AM f/1.6 14-84mm TV Zoom lens that's C mount. What I'm trying to understand is what sensor sizes this lens will be compatible with for conversion. Can anyone help me out?

Also, I wanted to know if someone could link me to a site/document that explains which dimensions on the rear mount of a lens determine which sensor sizes it will cover.

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Fujinon A20x8.6BERM Lens - Micro 4/3 compatible? https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/10139/fujinon-a20x8.6berm-lens-micro-43-compatible- Fri, 11 Apr 2014 06:51:37 +0000 Timx98 10139@/talks/discussions ***EDIT: I was not searching for the right terms online. This is ENG lens and it has been successfully mounted to DSLRS with numerous tutorials. Please disregard. ***

I have several Fujinon A20x8.6BERM lenses from a Sony Digital Video Camera DXC-D35.

I've searched the net to see how well this lens would work on my GH3 with an adapter but cannot find anything.

Here are the specs on the Lens according to: http://www.fujifilmusa.com/products/optical_devices/broadcast-hd-sd/sdtv-lenses/2-3-pro/a20x86-berm/

Note: It says the aspect ratio of the lens is 4:3...Can a lens be set for that? I thought that was determined by the camera recording format, not the lens. (my apologizes for the noob question. I'm still learning).

What are your thoughts on this lens for micro four third use? Would I be able to set up an external power supply on my rig to use the zoom feature?

Fisheye for GH2 : Rokinon 7.5mm f3.5 OR Rokinon 8mm f2.8 with adapter ? https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/8798/fisheye-for-gh2-rokinon-7.5mm-f3.5-or-rokinon-8mm-f2.8-with-adapter- Sun, 17 Nov 2013 04:41:27 +0000 TruHype 8798@/talks/discussions Hello everyone,

I just recently wanted to buy a fisheye lens to filming skateboard videos, but I came across 2 different fisheyes :

  • The Rokinon 7.5mm f3.5 for Micro 4/3

Or

  • The Rokinon 8mm f2.8 for Sony E-mount (NEX-7, NEX-5, NEX-3...) + Adapter

The thing is I know the Rokinon for M4/3 is going to fit directly on my camera (tried it in a shop), but the Rokinon for Sony is much faster, but maybe a little less wide...

Can you please help me choose ?

Thank you.

Will go for sale on fee-Bay soon, have to work on that critical screw a bit.

Warning:

1) Don't try it at home unless you know what you are doing.
2) The base for that hack is the Kiwi MFT <--> AX adapter. Except that it does not work, mine does (after the little modding).
3) This is REAL 1:1.2 lens, not the... Tomioka which is only NOMINALLY 1:1.2 (did you notice that the back of Tommy Miau Oka is manually cut?)
4) Did not try it yet against the wal texture, just did it today. Actually, my car mechanic did it.

SOLD: GH2 + Fujinon B4 ENG/Documentary Kit https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/7727/sold-gh2-fujinon-b4-engdocumentary-kit Thu, 08 Aug 2013 22:31:53 +0000 BobbyMcDonald 7727@/talks/discussions Selling my trusty GH2 basic kit. This setup has covered the large majority of my video needs for awhile now, but trying to raise some extra cash for Burning Man, and cleaning out the old camera shelf. The camera is in great shape and comes with: 1 GH2 (obviously) grey, hacked (can return firmware to stock or any patch on request) 3 Panasonic batteries, all keep full charge, 1 Panasonic charger like new, 1 64GB Sandisk Pro Extreme SD card - this is the king, what you need for driftwood's and others top shelf patches. Has yet to fail me. 1 Fujinon Pegasus III B4 lens w/ rubber hood and hand brace 1 Cieco7 B4 -> m4/3 adapter with tripod mount 1 77mm circular polarizer, uv filter and homemade vari-nd

Everything is in great working order, and good to great cosmetically. The lens covers the equivalent of 31mm-438mm, a 14x range! This lens is a legend and a workhorse, not clinically sharp, but still holds great detail, especially in the center... a great match to the super sharp GH2. Comes with hand mount and the power zoom should work fine if hooked up to a 12v power source.

I'd prefer to sell as a set, but would be willing to part it out if the lens were to sell first. Asking $885

I'll get pics up tomorrow, I'm happy to answer any questions.

Thanks.

Making GH2 the ENG camera https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/3449/making-gh2-the-eng-camera Sat, 02 Jun 2012 07:16:02 +0000 panini 3449@/talks/discussions This is my GH2 Projekt: I want to adapt a fujinon 2/3 to my gh2 via a B4 2/3" CANON FUJINON ENG lens to GH2 G2 AF100 AF101 E-P3micro 4/3 adapter and power it with my v-mount Akkus. As long the lense has a range extender you don´t have to use the ex-mode, what can´t be monitored on the hdmi out :-(

I want to power also the zoom to get this ENG-stile of shooting. If possible I want to start and stop recording via the trigger at the zoom handle, but I might skip that, because I might loose the ability to use the mic-port for an external mic. I doubt that both is possible at once... Anyone experiences using a Y-splitter?

As a premixer I thinking of a Rolls MX 54s Audio, or a juicedLink CX231 Audio Mixer. I planing to use a Varavon Screen Loupe EX GH1/GH2... The only thing I can tell at the moment - the hack worked great. I´m using a SanDisk extreme pro 64 GB and started with the "no adverse settings". But with 42 mb/s no constant recording ( at least one hour in AVC 1080/50i) was possible. So I altered the settings. I will use for narrative film making a FSH preset with 42 mb/s and for events a FH preset with 32 mb/s. This works so far... Quality wise I tested my gh2 vs. my old JVC GY HD 200B (1440x1080 50i). I recorded the same motive at the same time and I have to admit the JVC can´t compete against the gh2´s resolution… and that´s the reason I´m doing all that here.

FS: Fujinon 9-126mm f1.7 lens + m43 adapter + Hirose cable https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/3523/fs-fujinon-9-126mm-f1.7-lens-m43-adapter-hirose-cable Sat, 09 Jun 2012 09:09:12 +0000 ed_lee83 3523@/talks/discussions For sale is a Fujinon 14x 9-126mm f1.7 zoom lens in B4 mount, a B4 to Micro Four Thirds adapter (best one made by ciecio7) and a Hirose to 12v cable. I am selling my Lumix GH2 so this lens has to go too.

The lens is in great condition, I dare say the optics are in near mint condition, save for a few specks of dust. It has a 2x extender which covers the entire Micro Four Thirds sensor. However it drops about 2 f-stops. But you can also use GH2's Ex Tele mode to retain aperture speed. This makes the lens become 18-252mm f3.5(ish). The lens is parfocal!

Demo:

The original motor system is included and has a Hirose cable that was intended for broadcast cameras. The motor system can be detached. There is a macro function allowing you to shoot close-up. It also comes with original hood and generic front cap. The lens + adapter is 1.7kg. On the handle grip I stuck some Sugru to improve ergonomics (refer to last pic). If it doesn't fit for you it is removable. Or, I can remove it for you if you want. The B4 adapter is the best quality made one by ciecio7 from Poland, worth $320 new. The tripod mount is super strong, made of duraluminum unlike the other simple aluminum adapters. It holds up the lens very well - this is important as the lens is much heavier than the camera. It also comes with a rear Micro Four Thirds cap and its original B4 rear cap.

The Hirose to 12v cable allows you to connect the motor system to a 12v battery, allowing you to operate the servo zoom. This made it really handy when shooting, allowing you to zoom and focus simultaneously. There are no auto focus or iris functions. Below is a sample video utilising a battery with the motor system (battery is not included in this auction!). Search "12v lithium battery" on eBay or whatever and they're very cheap and light. Make sure to get ones with plug ports so you can insert the Hirose cable. You could use gaffer tape or velcro to affix it on the lens or rig.

Operating the servo zoom with battery:

I'm asking for US$600 + shipping via PayPal (fees inclusive).

I ship from Hong Kong to USA, Europe, Asia and Australia with fast EMS mail. You can check rates here: http://www.hongkongpost.com/speedpost/eng/rates/index.htm

Here is the only video I did with it using a hacked GH2: http://www.cosmogirl.com.hk/videos/lifestyle-videos/cosmogirl-x-samsung?qt-cgvideo=#qt-cgvideo
