This means 27 weeks of street demonstration with, violence from both sides and repression is now out of limits with new laws allowing abusive arrests and violence with hundreds of severely wounded protesters. However, protesters are not willing to give up.

I personally followed 14th of those events in Paris, as photojournalist. I own a wide range of cameras such as Nikon D750, Nikon D5500, Sony A7M2 and GH5.

After different test and try, I decided to stick to the GH5 as I can easily switch from photos to videos. Also, having more depth of field at wide aperture is an advantage in this kind of environment.

I just wanted to share some of my shots, to show what M43 can do in a difficult working surrounding.

I am using Lumix lenses : 7-14 mm f/4, 12-35 mm f/2.8, 35-100 mm f/2.8, 100 - 300 mm f/4-5.6

Update: I created a Flickr Album here with 118 pictures, most of them with explicative caption : https://www.flickr.com/gp/eurocameraman/kH0H7X

Award winners from the "Revision 2013" demo contest https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/6572/award-winners-from-the-revision-2013-demo-contest- Mon, 01 Apr 2013 18:40:35 +0000 karl 6572@/talks/discussions Last Friday at the "Revision 2013" event in Saarbrücken/Germany computer demos in many different categories were presented. You can download all the contestants here, but I guess most of you will only be impressed by visuals of demos that are run on contemporary hardware, and if you happen to not own a high-end PC, you can still watch the video recordings of some of those demos on YouTube. (Notice that those demos render the graphics in real-time as they run, the videos are actual live recordings.)

I found especially impressive those PC demos that ran in the "64k" category, where the whole of the demo code has to be smaller than 65536 bytes, e.g.:

And this demo here ran in the "4k" category, so the whole of the demo code had to be smaller than 4096 bytes:

GH2 INTRA Demo: It's Collaboration Time! https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/1268/gh2-intra-demo-its-collaboration-time Mon, 24 Oct 2011 22:23:44 +0000 driftwood 1268@/talks/discussions
I would like to put together a demo of the GH2 in INTRA mode to show off various settings for a Driftwood (Vimeo & downloadable) Spectacular to show its capabilities. I would like as many different scenes, lenses, EX Tele, iDynamic, etc...

The subject matter can be anything so long as it is only ONE scene location and lasts a maximum of 10 seconds. I want a collage of great variety to put together from around the world. Can be landscapes, wildlife, water, trees (groan!), people, whateverthef@ck you want (within reason!)
You may have already filmed something spectacular which this would be good for.

But it has to be filmed in ANY of the INTRA settings posted by me or adapted by yourselves.

So those interested private message (PM) me with a link to your mts & graded file (pro res HQ minimum) - the location, the lens, the extra settings, etc... etc...

Any titling will be put on by my editor following the details & specs you supply us. Therefore, everyone will get a credit on the footage so no problems :-)

And take great care getting perfect exposure for the subject required!

Cutoff date: 10th November 2011. All those willing to take part say 'Aye' below this thread heading.

Thanks,
Nick Driftwood

UPDATE: Here is the final ungraded showreel, the graded showreel will be up here on 17th December.
