An exceptional price/quality ratio PC screen!

4 important specifications cached my attention:

  • IPS screen with wide viewing angle
  • 100% sRGB color gamut spectrum coverage
  • Flicker free
  • Blue light filter

Out of the box the screen came well calibrated, with a small Delta-E variation of color. After a manual calibration, it approaches perfection (except for the typical brighter black of IPS screens).

The "Flicker Free" and "Blue Light Filter" functions are very important for the eyes, especially for long working periods of time in front of the computer. I did not encounter problems related to ghosting or clouding, the image uniformity of my sample being impeccable. It doesn’t make much sense to comment much about IPS technology, whoever is interested in image editing, knows why to choose an IPS screen in favor of other technologies on the market.

The screen is elegant, with thin edges on the side and top and the construction is made of good quality plastic. The foot is made of metal and offers an inclination from -5 to 20 degrees.

In conclusion, for my needs (image editing) it’s an excellent screen at a very decent price. I recommend it with confidence!

Hand held shooting, your opinion? https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2122/hand-held-shooting-your-opinion Fri, 27 Jan 2012 13:49:34 +0000 brianluce 2122@/talks/discussions I like hand held in certain situations. I'd like some opinions on what people think and feel in an aesthetic sense about the software that simulates handheld? Does feel the same? Less organic? Can you tell at all? I was looking at New Blues handheld simulator.

What brand chroma green screen do you use? https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/5882/what-brand-chroma-green-screen-do-you-use Wed, 23 Jan 2013 17:39:01 +0000 f1lm3r 5882@/talks/discussions Just a curious question. There seems to be quite a handful to choose from. I'm looking to do a green screen shoot in the near future for a short film and was looking at picking one up. I know one of the big things to look for is non-reflective and wrinkle-resistant. Westcott seems to be popular brand. But could I just get any old green screen and it'll work?

GH2 issue: viewfinder is totally blue https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/12002/gh2-issue-viewfinder-is-totally-blue Sun, 21 Dec 2014 02:26:16 +0000 gameb 12002@/talks/discussions After coming back from my last shooting the electronic viewfinder of my GH2 suddenly is blue, there is no blacks anymore, especially when it goes to lowlight there is only blue. The Picture is still there. On the LCD screen everything looks fine and the recorded picture is perfect. Its just when you look through the viewfinder. Looks like daylight massively falls into an artificial light white balanced picture. Anybody experienced this issue before? Any hints? BTW, I use Cake and reinstalled the hack without success.

If any have some idea in patching GH2 to shoot in blue light https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/11944/if-any-have-some-idea-in-patching-gh2-to-shoot-in-blue-light Thu, 11 Dec 2014 11:32:48 +0000 yaros 11944@/talks/discussions I have GH2 fnd using Sanity 5 for 2 years. But now I need for any hack to shoot Corals in blue and UV light to show the fluerense of them. The simple Pentax wp making it easy,to improve the white balance The film made Pentax WG3 the fluerense of coral at the end fim

But I can not do it in Panasonic GH2 or any other DSLR camera, the white point must be higher then 20000K and improve the white point in dark blue. If you have some idea, or any patch for this problem...

Project Blue Light - does this make sense to you? https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2664/project-blue-light-does-this-make-sense-to-you Fri, 23 Mar 2012 04:34:47 +0000 Meierhans 2664@/talks/discussions Args.. I am a afraid to start a new tread! Have mercy! ;)

http://www.fourseasonshd.com/cgi-bin/csvsearch.pl?db=db1&tp=tp4&search=bluelight1

Basicly he is putting a color filter in front of the lense to move the exposure of red and blue channel up some stops. Then in post he is trying to fix the tint. Does this make sense? Wouldn´t setting a "wrong" white balance have the same effect?
