Excellent condition. No dings, dents, it works perfectly fine. has the support bracket attached and totally shimmable (though I've never had to)

Minolta MC/MD Adapters

Total newbie here. Just got my gh1 today and I am pumped. Anyway, I'd like any feedback/recommendations for Minolta/micro 4/3 adapters. I see them on ebay from $20-30. Do the more expensive ones buy me anything? Better grade of metal/plastic? Anyone buy one and very happy with it?

Newbie looking for lenses recommandations

Hi. I do some events filming with Lumix cameras (G6 & GH2) using Sigma (Nikon mounts) zoom lenses with RJ adapters. All lenses are at f2.8 max for speed and luminosity. I know that the lowest can go down to f1.4, but I havent been able, so far, to find zoom lenses like this, whatever the brand, especially at a good price (lower than 500 $, used or new).

Does any of you have any recommandations/suggestions on which zoom lenses (whatever the brand, as long as an m43 adapter is avalaible) I should get with my cams (and which adapters, if needed and unavalaible with the RJ m43 ones) ?

Does anyone here know if Birger Engineering still exists? Their website looks like it hasn't been updated in over a year. I have a Birger Canon EF mount for a RED ONE that needs to be serviced and I'm not sure where to send it off to? I sent them an email just to try but I have yet hear back from them.

Anyone out there happen to have any dealings with them recently? Or possibly know of another place one could send a lens mount like this to get repaired?

Nikon F to m43 adapters

The go-to shop for good adapters, ciecio7, unfortunately does not list a Nikon F to MFT adapter. I did send some questions, but unfortunately I did not receive any answer. Apparently they do exist, Grue has one, but I can't sit and wait for years to come. I did consider getting some Canon to MFT, but this leaves the issue of a solid Nikon to Canon adapter, preferably one which allows to change aperture by means of a ring or so. (There do exist adapters with a confirm chip, but with the Canon to MFT this won't work anyway.)

Does somebody know another seller which offers the cheaper adapters, but has a solid check to deliver consistent adapters? I'd love to get an adapter with aperture control (manual of course) and a tripod mount.

So... I was recently offered an old Konvas 1M with Lomo lenses for... $300.

This really intrigued me. After all, those lenses looks AMAZING from what I've seen picture-wise. What I want to know is how they are to use? From what I understand, there is no way to use them on a follow focus... I might be able to live with that, if the rest works. Also, I understand Ciecio7 is the best adapter to get for these, right? Question is basically, how much hassle is it? Is it worth it?

I should add that these are spherical, not anamorphics, but still!

Eyemo Mount to M4/3 Adapter?

I have a few Eyemo cameras and some nice lenses which rarely get used since I shoot hardly any 35mm film now.

Some time ago I wrote to Ryszard of foto-akcesoria.com.pl asking if he could make up an Eyemo-> M4/3 adapter. He replied:

I think it would be possible to make an adapter for MFT system. I don't know exact technical details of Eyemo cameras so you would have to send me one lens in order to make measurement.

He's in Poland. I'm in Aus and reluctant to post my lenses away. By some chance, does anybody live near have a lens they can show this guy?

BTW, you can get some very good high-end lenses in the Eyemo mount, from older Cookes to modern (ex-NASA) General Scientifics. They're cheaper than some other mounts and I suspect the lack of adapters might be one reason.

Panasonic Anamorphic adapter

Hello again! I am wondering about the right decision in choosing an anamorphic option. There are so many, that have become rareties in some respect. There is the Panasonic AG-LA7200 16:9 Anamorphic Lens Adapter, which is average price is 1000 dollars. Than we have a Century Precision adapter, which is harder to find, but a cheaper pick-up, that seems to provide intense flares. Now we also have the endless array of anamorphic projector lenses, adapted with lens clamps and such, that some say is better, and some say not so much. These include Kowa(which do look pretty nice sporting a 2x Anamorphic, ranging from 100 bucks to over 700, Isco-Optic focusing ana proj lens, and the Sankyoscope anamorphot 1.5x including a +0.5 diopter, focus through, which I haven't found for less than 1000 dollars, and I'm not sure how much the diopter will assist me, but anyhow there are many more, which I'm sure most are aware of. I am just hoping to get a little more insight into what the best and most effective options are.

I'm selling an OCT-18 to M43 adapter. This is the one made and sold by Ciecio7 on ebay. I bought it from a nice guy on this website, but when I brought it home, I couldn't get it to work. The adapter connects perfectly to the camera, the lenses slide in smoothly, but the focus ring won't turn. Most likely I'm just having a brain fart and need to adjust one of the small screws on the adapter, so maybe this will be easy for you to do. Just thought I would give a quick "review" of an SDI to HDMI converter that just arrived. And by review I mean: List my equipment and say if it works or not with that combination. I couldn't find anything on this particular el cheapo one when scanning the forums so here we go!

It came without a box, just a padded envelope. The converter and the power supply was wrapped in plastic. The power had an american socket and and type f adapter (just what we use in Sweden). Input voltage is 5-12v.

According to the eBay seller I ordered from (and the manual that came with it) it said to support the following input/output resolutions:

480i, 576i, 720p, 1080i @ 50/59,94/60
1080p @ 23,98/24/25/29,97/30/50/59,94/60

On the BMCC 2.5K MFT + Zacuto EVF 1080i50/60 worked fine, so did 1080p25/29,97/30. 23,98 and 24p did not. I got "unsupported format" on the Zacuto display (latest firmware).

No big deal for me since I'm shooting 25p, but people who need an adapter and shoot 24p to use with their Zacutos, beware.

EDIT: 23.98 and 24p works on the converter. Hooked it up to my Samsung TV and sure enough, I get an image. Which is weird since the Zacuto manual states 1080p24. Time to contact them.

I can also add that audio passes trough and I get metering on the EVF.

For the money I'm not gonna complain and this will do till I can afford an Alphatron or whatever comes out this year that I will settle on. It's light and will stick easily on your rig with some velcro.

Back up for sale is my 58mm anamorphic adapter from Century. Again it is in flawless condition and has seen little to no action at all. It was babied quite a bit, so I consistently had either my Tokina Diopter attached to it or a UV filter to prevent from any dust or scratches.

I just recently wanted to buy a fisheye lens to filming skateboard videos, but I came across 2 different fisheyes :

The Rokinon 7.5mm f3.5 for Micro 4/3

The Rokinon 8mm f2.8 for Sony E-mount (NEX-7, NEX-5, NEX-3...) + Adapter

The thing is I know the Rokinon for M4/3 is going to fit directly on my camera (tried it in a shop), but the Rokinon for Sony is much faster, but maybe a little less wide...

Can you please help me choose ?
