This really intrigued me. After all, those lenses looks AMAZING from what I've seen picture-wise. What I want to know is how they are to use? From what I understand, there is no way to use them on a follow focus... I might be able to live with that, if the rest works. Also, I understand Ciecio7 is the best adapter to get for these, right? Question is basically, how much hassle is it? Is it worth it?

I should add that these are spherical, not anamorphics, but still!]]>

  • For full frame cameras
  • Minimum focus distance - 45cm
  • Focus ring rotation - 300 degrees
  • Outer diameter - 115mm

The Canon CN-E35mm T1.5 L F Cinema prime lens is expected to be available in December 2013 for an estimated retail price of $5,200.

Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, has announced today the new CN-E35mm T1.5 L F single-focal-length Cinema prime lens designed for large-format single-sensor digital cinematography cameras employing Super 35mm or full-frame 35mm imagers. Delivering outstanding optical performance in contemporary 4K / 2K / HD motion imaging, the new Canon CN-E35mm T1.5 L F prime lens is the sixth member of Canon's line of compact, precision-matched EF-mount Cinema prime lenses, which also includes 14mm, 24mm, 50mm, 85mm and 135mm EF-mount models.

Collectively, Canon's Cinema prime lens family delivers a wide range of the most important choices in focal lengths to address a myriad of creative digital cinematography choices. All six Canon Cinema prime lenses provide a full-frame 36mm x 24mm image circle for full compatibility with the Canon EOS-1D C, EOS C500, EOS C300 Digital Cinema cameras, the EOS 5D Mark III and EOS-1D X DSLR cameras, the EOS C100 Digital Video Camera and EF-mount cameras made by other manufacturers. The lenses also feature consistent color balance, minimal focus breathing, water-resistant rubber gaskets, and an 11-blade aperture diaphragm to help achieve creative depth-of-field manipulation and pleasing "bokeh" effects. The six Canon Cinema prime lenses are also designed to facilitate production with uniform stepless gear-positioning rings for iris and focus, with an identical 300§ smooth rotation angle on the focus ring. These control rings - switchable from feet to metric labeling - maintain just the right amount of resistance with consistent operating torque. Lens barrels are engraved with easy-to-read scale markings, and consistent 114mm front lens diameters can accommodate screw-on filters and other accessories.

"As with all Canon Cinema prime lenses, the new Canon CN-E35mm T1.5 L F lens has been crafted to meet the creative requirements of the most discerning cinematographers, directors and producers," said Yuichi Ishizuka, executive vice president and general manager, Imaging Technologies & Communications Group, Canon U.S.A. "Filmmakers indicated a need for this lens in our lineup and with its launch, we now offer six cinema prime lenses covering some of the most important focal lengths."

Zeiss ZF 35mm f/2.0- Nikon mount as I prefer manual aperture for video shooting vs being trapped into Canon mounts but I can sell with Nikon-EOS adapter as well so it'll fit perfectly on Canon mount. Amazing lens- probably the best Zeiss lenses when it comes to the 3D Zeiss look, and a great lens for film. Paid $1120 new, selling for $750. Comes with original box and papers. $25 shipped and insured priority mail in USPS. I will eat PP fee.

For Sale: Tamron SP 17mm f3.5 Ultra wide angle lens, OM mount. https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/4739/for-sale-tamron-sp-17mm-f3.5-ultra-wide-angle-lens-om-mount. Thu, 27 Sep 2012 15:55:28 +0000 rrsduncan 4739@/talks/discussions As sad as it is to say, I'm selling my lovely Tamron SP 17mm f3.5 lens.

It's an adaptall 2 lens so fits any camera you would care to think about and Tamron made an adaptor for but I'm selling it with and Olympus OM mount.

It's a brilliant ultrawide angle lens that is a solid chunk of metal. Tack sharp and difficult to get hold of these days. No hood but comes with caps all for £180.

In excellent condition with no scratches or fungus.

Importantly with for the GH2 it has quite remarkably low distortion for being 17mm so it works as a really nice 35mm lens.

Pics to follow.

Thanks for looking.

2012 is drawing to a close. I'm right now trying to optimize my workflow and sell a few pieces of equipment I don't necessarily need anymore.

All three lenses were bought at the beginning of this year and were only used a couple of times on pretty small projects.

They are built like tanks and offer absolutely lovely bokeh. Focus is really, really smooth. I seriously recommend them.

Perfectly fitting Half Inch Rails gears included. (Best lens gear in my opinion, nice and simple)

Now you can find out what cameras, what lenses, etc were used to shoot certain films, also if they were strictly DI, or transferred to film for their final master/negative.

Very interesting to see what lenses were used on certain films. I wish they had more details, such as which camera used which lenses when listing the cameras.

Nikon 35/1.4 and 85/1.8 AI'D for sale https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/4239/nikon-351.4-and-851.8-aid-for-sale Mon, 13 Aug 2012 21:28:36 +0000 ISO1600 4239@/talks/discussions Two great old lenses for sale. These lenses are both 100% legit- only reason i'm selling is just sold my 5DII and got a OM-D. I need M4/3 lenses. Looking to get cash (via paypal) or possibly trade for Panasonic glass (14, 20, 25). Check my feedback on fredmiranda: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/feedback/75096 or on ebay under user "180s13".

35/1.4: legendary lens. Amazing build quality. ALL metal- even the glass is metal! (j/k). This is the old pre-AI version, with factory/nikon AI conversion on it- so it will work on any modern nikon camera that can handle AI lenses. Focus is very well dampened, and a LONG throw. This would be good for video. 9 Aperture blades. The only thing keeping me from rating this a 9+ is i trimmed the baffle/shroud in the rear of the lens so that i could mount it on my 5DII. Caps included. Looking to get $225(net) for this sucker. Can include Fotodiox Pro NF-EF adapter.

85/1.8: Another awesome lens. Bokeh machine. Tons of character. This one isn't as in as good of shape as the 35, it has some wear on the barrel/focusing ring. Has been AI converted by the excellent Jim White (AIconversions.com). Caps included. Looking to get $200(net) for this guy. Can include Fotodiox Pro NF-EF adapter.

An ep-3 with a 17,5 f1.4 would be the first choice for many professionists all over the world. I know that we have the olympus 17 2,8 but on the m43 platform this lens is really too slow.
What do you think?]]>
