Snapdragon 8 gen 1 - selfie camera always on https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/26886/snapdragon-8-gen-1-selfie-camera-always-on Tue, 22 Mar 2022 15:00:15 +0000 Eno 26886@/talks/discussions https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_12x-review-2395p3.php

Xiaomi 12x is basically the same phone as Xiaomi 12 with the exception of the older generation processor.

The difference in battery consumption is due to the always-on selfie camera feature of the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 newer processor.

Fuji X PRO 1 https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/1936/fuji-x-pro-1 Thu, 05 Jan 2012 09:57:15 +0000 sohus 1936@/talks/discussions
- Three new lenses: 18mm (27mm equivalent) f/2.0, 35mm (53mm equivalent) f/1.4 and 60mm (90mm equivalent) f/2.4
- Responsephoto says the Camera+35mm lens kit will cost 1.300 Euro. That’s actually just a bit higher than the Fuji X100 price. The other two lenses will cost 600 Euro each.
- Responsephoto says the sensors name is X-Trans! R. writes that Fuji took some ideas from the classica film technology to create the new sensor which will beat the image quality of all current fulflrame sensors! The photosites will be of 6 different colors and disposed randomly, therefore moire will be avoided.
- There is no Anti Aliasing filter on the sensor.
- The lenses are made of metal.
- The camera has the new X-mount. The lens mount acutally goes a little bit “inside” the body! The mount diameter will be large and its flange will be of 17.7 mm.
- The viewfinder is hybrid (optical and electronic). The optical viewfinder changes the view depending on the kind of prime lens you sue. This again is an idea coming from the Contax G2!
- Other incredible new thing: The autofocus sensor is…external! There is a special AF sensor on the camera body!

I really hope Fuji delivers. Everything looks amazing... build quality, specifcations, lenses. I haven't found any video specifications yet. ]]>
GH2 RELOADED https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/15127/gh2-reloaded Thu, 26 May 2016 11:42:15 +0000 frullaccia 15127@/talks/discussions Into the Full HD world, our GH2 camera and Panasonic processor have still much to give us. This new hack is based upon my personal Gop 1 development. But almost every single parameter has been adapted to match some original and extreme choices. I made all possible to get a neat and rich picture. It has been a step-by-step hard work. In particular the hbr mode was very difficult to manage. To tell the truth, I didn't touch the 1080i60 and 720p60 modes, which are taken by Apefos' The End patch.
I hope that somebody will find useful and beautiful our new used GH2.

High Speed 10 bit RAW 2.5K camera with a 1 inch sensor, $1600 https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/11662/high-speed-10-bit-raw-2.5k-camera-with-a-1-inch-sensor-1600 Tue, 28 Oct 2014 14:39:06 +0000 Brian202020 11662@/talks/discussions The FPS1000 looks promising, at least the Gold and Platinum models. There are 8 days left of the Kickstarter. The 290fps 720p sprinkler video from the "Gold" model looks nice. The 200 fps 1080p video from the "Platinum" model looks like something may have gone wrong when uploading to the web. There is a weird banding thing going on in the footage. I'm personally waiting for better 1080p footage before I buy. Anyway many stretch goal were reached and there is now going to be an internal battery, better case, 3D option, and a high speed expansion port for a future high speed media module or to connect to a PC for longer takes.

Beyond The Mountains - swiss aerial https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/15340/beyond-the-mountains-swiss-aerial Mon, 11 Jul 2016 07:12:18 +0000 Luc00 15340@/talks/discussions Hello

I would like to present you our new movie. We had just four days for filming in swiss on 9 different locations. It was pretty amazing going up to 3000 meters and start filming with a drone. Everything was shot with an DJI Inspire 1 RAW with the X5R camera. Filming with this system is pretty nice but backup all the footage after made us go crazy. DJI is using their own data partition on the SSD and you are unable to just copy&paste via Mac or Windows. You have to use "Cinelight" which needs up to 4 hours to backup 350gb of footage. No way to do backups on the way.

Well, making this movie was fun and a great experience. We hope you like it.

Best

FS: Iscomorphot 8/1,5X - Isco-Göttingen Anamorphic lens! https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/11125/fs-iscomorphot-815x-isco-goettingen-anamorphic-lens Tue, 26 Aug 2014 09:52:25 +0000 JCVD 11125@/talks/discussions Hello guys!

Up for sale this VERY RARE Iscomorphot 8/1,5X - Isco-Göttingen Anamorphic lens!

The lens is quite old, regarding this, it is in very good condition. It doesn't have scratches, haze or fungus, it only has coating marks on the front and rear elements. It looks scrary on the photos, but it is only coating and not a deep scratch, sometimes this happens with coatings on 40-50 years old german lenses. I never ever noticed any quality loss.

Since this is a very rare lens, the asking price is 1500 USD (I can accept EURO also). I am opened for offers too, so please PM me!

I am in the European Union, between EU member countries there is not costum duty tax! I ship worldwide!

I hope to be able to afford a GH4 after I sold this. :)

All the best to you guys!

Cluster X: Series 1 - moon - ЅріzZ - nebula - drewnet - Slipstream https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/5806/cluster-x-series-1-moon-%D0%85r%D1%96zz-nebula-drewnet-slipstream Wed, 16 Jan 2013 22:11:18 +0000 driftwood 5806@/talks/discussions Cluster X Series Settings.

Whats it all about? Achieving the best looking overall pictures around - throughtout the popular GOPs. The great thing about Cluster X developments is you can mix and match some of the settings to combine into your favourite setting (e.g. GOP1 for 24p and 25p/FSH, GOP 6 For 1080i60/30p and 12/15 for 720p etc...). Slipstream settings do this for you (mixed and matched and with spanning capabilities where we can plus 80% modes on H & iA mode support).

This has been a tough (and still ongoing) challenge, each setting (and ptools patch change) takes an age to check & measure. Its exhausting work - even with 4 cameras on the go. The measuring to check Quantisation, frame sizes and stability adapting one change at a time is pretty debilitating on mental energy. I hope people appreciate waiting for each setting to appear.

All the new Cluster X series settings for each GOP attached below have been tested on the notorious 14-140 Pany sharp lens. Give me feedback.

Its as simple as A, B, C, D, E, F ! Each .ini setting in ptools for Cluster X Series will equate to setA ('DREWnet' 12/15 GOP), setB ('Nebula' 6 GOP), setC ('Spizz' 3 GOP), setD ('Moon' 1 GOP/3 GOP), setE (Slipstream 1) & setF (Slipstream 2). Any updates will stay on these sets.

"Bitrate is King. Who needs hi powered scaling matrices when enough Bitrate (if you have it) can drive the quantisation..." Quote from my conversation with Dark Shikari - X264 dev 2012

If you enjoy these settings please don't forget to donate to personal-view by clicking on the link above. Gratitude and thanks to Vitaliy Kiselev.

Cluster X 'Slipstream'

A series of GOP combination settings drawn from the Cluster X series but set at nominal bitrate settings (40 to 72Mbps) to achieve a better spanning percentage for longer recordings plus the ability to be used on slower sd cards. Slipstream attempts to correlate the actual clip duration to the TS (transport stream) duration whilst providing error free population of the cpb buffers. And it seems to work very well at these settings. :-)

Slipstream #1 (Rev B): Release Date: 10/03/2013

A mix of Nebula and DREWnet settings all tightly packed into 72Mbps max 24p and around 40-52Mbps for everything else which in my PAL tests SPAN! You also get 80% mode at 24H and iA modes working. NTSC 720p60 and FSH/HBR30p should now span.

1080p24/1080i50/HBR25p/720p50 at GOP 6 1080i60/HBR30p & 720p60 at 12 GOP

Slipstream #2: Release Date: 10/03/2013

Including;-

1080p24H 88Mbps GOP3

FSH1080i50/HBR25p 60Mbps GOP3

720p50 62Mbps GOP6

FSH1080i60/HBR30p 44Mbps GOP12

720p60 52Mbps GOP12

Slipstream #3: Release Date: 15/03/2013

Including THE GH3 MATRIX ON ALL REC MODES;-

1080p24H 150Mbps GOP1 (moon style)

FSH1080i50/HBR25p 70Mbps GOP1

720p50 62Mbps GOP6

FSH1080i60/HBR30p 64Mbps GOP3

720p60 52Mbps GOP12

NB: Ive had one occasion where the camera just freezes with no apparent error. If this happens simply leave the camera alone for a minute or two until it fully writes out to sdcard (emptying all buffers) THEN turn off/battery pull. Hopefully you will notice that all your spanned files are there on next powerup.
