I saw the open council. It was all televised 100% in the UK without interruption and online. Around him, Putin had more shills than YouTube.
Only the spy chief seemed to have a different opinion - to give the "partners in the West" more negotiating time. Putin shot him down, and he capitulated immediately.
It's not a committee. It's a dictatorship and a show.
Poland is not a "stupid puppet". Ask our Polish friends how their careers and life are going - pretty good on the whole, and their governments can make their own decisions within the alliance. They have a seat at the EU table. As the UK is finding out, it's better to be at the table than not.
Also what is more important, is that the people in Poland live a good life, maintain cultural identity and cultural independence from America, and that millions of Ukrainians would rather take sanctuary there than in Moldova or in bordering Russian towns.
Germans, Polish, French are not Americans.
They're capable of removing American influence over their ultimate destiny and culture.
In many respects, Europe disagrees with America.
Many people in the UK dislike American culture and influence too.
We are not one and the same country.
Yes, I can understand why he has the beliefs he does. His ideology, his paranoia is a response to the west. But when you have a cancer, it doesn't matter how it happened any more. The main thing is to cut it out.
Andrew, I know you are smart, but sometimes lazy.
Just read declaration of elites:
You must also know that decisions had been made on open council that aired on TV, not by one man.
It is time to stop utter idealism. Issue is not Putin, issue that our capitalists had been presented by choice - either fight to keep more or less independent state. Or become something like Poland or Ukraine or Australia or NZ - stupid puppets who will jump on owner command.
"Did you check Putin speech - he told that he has proof that Russia asked to be real partners in early 2000s and even join NATO. But had been replied that nope, you are second sort of stuff."
It was not about being considered 'second sort'. There is such a thing as trust being the basis for an alliance. How does the US know whether such offers didn't have ulterior motives and were not just a Trojan horse, an easy way for Russia to gather intelligence on NATO? All the oligarch money laundering and sponsorship in Western sports were a campaign of influence all traceable to Putin with no individual or independent actors. He is everything. Putin is all. You were part of G8. You cannot say we didn't try. There has been a massive effort since the end of the Soviet Union to have diplomacy and involvement with Russia. Even in recent years and the major infrastructure projects such as gas pipelines and ISS, we intended to collaborate and get along. Putin is prepared to put it all in the trash for the sake of reclaiming historic borders. Has Russia not got enough land? Not enough resources? You could have a model socialist society, jobs for life, security, world leading science and athleticism, everything... Putin is destroying it all, along with communism way of life as well.
Yes the USA helped create him. Yes, I can understand why he has the beliefs he does. His ideology, his paranoia is a response to the west. But when you have a cancer, it doesn't matter how it happened any more. The main thing is to cut it out.
"Even worse, they will return to mass genocide."
What? Like the one Putin says is going on in Ukraine?
Public statements at demonstrations and on social media endorsing Russia's attack on Ukraine or expressing support for the Russian leadership can be considered a criminal offense under the circumstances, punishable by up to three years in prison. This was stated in a press release by the Supreme Prosecutor of the Czech Republic Igor Strzyzh.
And here comes capitalist freedom of speech. To the toilet it goes.
“Freedom of speech is enshrined at the constitutional level in Article 17 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms. Everyone has the right to express their views as they see fit. But freedom of speech in a democratic rule of law also has its limits,” Strzyz said.
Wow, freedom of speech is that ruling class defined it to be. They are always morons.
The European Union plans to completely close its airspace to Russian aircraft
Correct me if I'm wrong, but last time I looked at corporate culture, Nazism wasn't considered very profitable.
You better look at book about fascism and definitions. In some situations for capitalism it is not only profitable, but sole choice.
Are you saying that in the modern world if it were profitable for Mercedes or VW, they would return to nazi propaganda?
Even worse, they will return to mass genocide.
It isn't profitable or even lawful in modern Germany, and if in some alternative reality it was, their staff and customers would all boycott the company.
And such actions will be declared as treason :-) With consequences you know.
Vitaly you are an intelligent guy. I don't know why you are buying into this stupid Putin propaganda machine.
Andrew, you are again not reading, you are lazy as heck. You spot few words and continue. Read again. I am not supporter of our propaganda machine.
His army is not in the Ukraine to defeat the nazis.
Right now it is. But it does not mean that it is why it is in Ukraine. It is because our capitalism requires it.
The pull-back deal Putin proposed to the US and NATO was to have the Ukraine military demilitarised and everybody surrender.
It's a completely fake offer as he knows the Ukraine would never accept it, let alone NATO or the EU.
But then Putin is an expert at fake offers, buying and selling.
He is the biggest nazi / mafia boss / capitalist in Russia. It's a source of huge embarrassment and Karl Marx is turning in his grave.

Andrew, I said that they support stuff if it fits their profits. It is obvious thing, I hope you know word "obvious"?
In your view, are globalists the same as nationalists?
Did you read that I wrote? Read one more time.
Of course Putin and "funny puppets" like Dugin don't like this... This is why they helped Brexit to come into reality, using hybrid warfare and social media.
Again, situation for our capitalists and UK or German capitalists is not the same. Hence their positions.
Did you check Putin speech - he told that he has proof that Russia asked to be real partners in early 2000s and even join NATO. But had been replied that nope, you are second sort of stuff.
Your dear leader did not even succeed in taking Georgia.
He is not my deal leader :-) But order to pull back had been due to agreement with US :-)
Do you really think it's a good idea to attempt to demilitarise a landmass the size of Ukraine where even the civilian population are armed? It isn't going to work. We are talking massive bloodshed.
It is very bad idea. Capitalists rarely have good ideas for people. And it will be lot of blood.
This is that capitalist brought to us in 1991. Just new development.
Speak clearly. You're saying all capitalists support nationalism. You didn't qualify it with an "if".
It is not in the interest of most normal capitalists to be nationalistic. It's better for modern business to be a globalist.
In your view, are globalists the same as nationalists?
In my view not. You can't have trade and a Schengen zone if German capitalists are nationalists.
Would a German nationalist help fund UK infrastructure and subsidise our agriculture (via the EU)?
Of course Putin and "funny puppets" like Dugin don't like this... This is why they helped Brexit to come into reality, using hybrid warfare and social media.
In fact as a nationalist, Putin can't tolerate a powerful neighbour like the EU or NATO.
Your dear leader did not even succeed in taking Georgia.

I am far more interested in humanity and friendship than I am in looking at fucking statistics.
Even if Putin takes Kyiv and achieves his goal of regime change, his ideology is outdated and time is up.
I an not making things up, I just don't have time to suit this lazy bastart.
As for your Dugin mania - you can check quote of much more smart guy widow:

@AndrewReid_EOSHD yeah Vitaliy is very likely making the TV part up. The Azov thing (now a regiment!) is very real though; I just invested 10min of my life reading that Wiki page, and it boggles the mind. It's a neonazi jihadi-like international operation, with fighters from some 20 countries, with its origin story as the ultras of a football club from Harkov. They have zvastikas on their helmets, wolfangel insignias, and nazi tattoos. You can't make this shit up.
Not all capitalists support nationalism. Most aren't even patriots. Capitalism can be left at the office.
It is so idiotic thought. Capitalism support nationalism always 100% as soon as it is in their own interest. And support opposite if it will bring them more profits. Same is true for democracy and dictatorship.
Putin's war is 100% about nationalism and Soviet empire building. If you don't agree, please tell me how you would classify this war? A civil war within one people? A "Peace making?" force? What is it?
Well, if he plans to rebuild Soviet Union I am all 100% on his side, for some time :-) But I think he has other ideas.
At the heart of Putin's objective is nationalism, sectarianism, isolationism. The old man hasn't achieved a legacy and now he wants one and he doesn't care whether it is about punishing your own people, or murdering your neighbours. He is wreaking the career of all of your great sportsmen and women, all of your great olympians, closing the borders on your scientific community, cutting yourself off from chip supplies in Taiwan, the list is endless... no more sport, no more trade, no more SWIFT, do you want to be a pariah state? I don't think you do.
Do you understand that around 80-90% of society and business support limited isolationism here? As presently western states got the blood our of economy - lot of resources in exchange for their fake printed money.
Of course, people underestimate hardship of all this, but they clearly don't like present state.
On opposite side are lot of west oriented software developers, artists and such scum. Guys who actually need some position to gain their good money.
And what kind of isolationism you are talking of if it does not include China, India and many other countries?
Nobody has done more to destroy communism than Putin. This is why when your neighbours and former Soviets in Ukraine flea the war they move west to Poland not east to Russia.
Sorry, can I remind you to check decommunisation topic to just see huge genocide that Germany and other EU countries imposed for ex socialist states? Don't like the facts - go and fuck yourself until your brain could live with reality,.
Make some work yourself, please.
Please show us some examples of the nazi symbols and slogans in state Ukrainian TV.
If these are so common - show us the screen caps.
Not all capitalists support nationalism. Most aren't even patriots. Capitalism can be left at the office. When these guys go home to a family and kids, that's more important anyway. Same with the people in Ukraine murdered right now by your president. Filmmakers, an anamorphic lens company, video game studios, all these creative enterprises that Putin considers a mere ant to squash on his journey to re-expand the Soviet empire.
Putin's war is 100% about nationalism and Soviet empire building. If you don't agree, please tell me how you would classify this war? A civil war within one people? A "Peace making?" force? What is it?

There is room enough on this planet for different ways of thinking, different cultures, different systems. Americans above all need to recognise this.
But you cannot exist constantly at war with capitalism. There has to be compromise in order to exist. Your own people have to make a living. They have to trade and compete.
Nobody has done more to destroy communism than Putin. This is why when your neighbours and former Soviets in Ukraine flea the war they move west to Poland not east to Russia.
Ukrainian state TV channels are full of Nazis symbols, slogans and words.
President and main parties are anticommunists and you can't even have communist ideas or show flags.
This is Nazism.
Germany decided to send weapons to Ukraine (although it had previously stated that it was against such supplies).
According to the German Cabinet of Ministers, we are talking about 1,000 anti-tank guns, 500 Stinger missiles, 400 German-made anti-tank guns from the Netherlands, 9 D-30 howitzers and ammunition from Estonia.
@flash as confusing as it may sound, there are neonazi battalions in the Ukraine, armed by the West (including Canada). They have these paramilitaries going back to (or even before) the Maidan orange 'revolution' of 2014. How they came to be, what's their full history, are they entirely homegrown or not, that I do not know. I know they are being sponsored by the West, and they operate outside the regular armed forces (likely coordinating). This is what Wikipedia has on them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azov_Battalion
Well, all capitalist support nationalism. So, you need to know terms you are using first.
You just need see who are hurting working people most now and where they have greatest chance.
Don't you noticed destruction of communist symbols in all EU and Ukraine especially?
And note this - this sons of Fasicsts who supply their brothers, hence this guys hope for full revenge:
