Google will close their system in Android 12
  • Some developers have given us feedback on how we can make the user experience for installing another app store on their device even better. In response to that feedback, we will be making changes in Android 12 (next year’s Android release) to make it even easier for people to use other app stores on their devices while being careful not to compromise the safety measures Android has in place. We are designing all this now and look forward to sharing more in the future!

    Google ideas are as follows:

    • You won't be able to install non signed apps in Android 12 (at least on all versions with Google services)
    • Google will control part of the signing process in all third party shops (will be declared as anti Chinese security and fighting for freedom)
    • Such way Google will be able to ban ANY application even if it is in other shop or on their own site
    • Google is working on dynamic signing process for developers now
    • Individual developers will buy either package or each individual signing (package is around 30% cheaper)
    • Each signing will have either fixed price or percentage of app cost (10% for large companies and up to 35% for small developers)
    • Biggest hit will be on free apps, as signing won't be free
    • Android 12 will have huge marketing expenses with lot of TV spots explaining how horrible is to download apps from some site on older Android as they steal info and encrypt your phone
