  • S1 body + battery = 1kg weight

    G7 body + battery + 14-42mm + 15mm 1.7 + 25mm 1.7 + 42,5mm 1.7 = 1kg weight

If you work alone with a backpack micro four thirds is the way to go. lenses and body are small and lightweight.

  • My short review of the Panasonic Lumix S1 and 50mm f1.4 and 24-105mm f4

  • $300 price drop (due to horrible sales)

Panasonic management extremely delayed this first cut.

Second cut time will depend on sales change (I expect almost no change), and can happen around late November/December and can reach another $500.

In 2020 S1 price will match cheap Sony A7 offerings and will set around $999.

  • Be good if they included shutter angle option in Video Mode. (for old timers like me).

Any word if S1 got highlight exposure like GH?

  • @alcomposer I'd prefer if they included shutter angle as well.

Additional N. Driftwood content (ghosting tests) - seems that 1.3 is attending to several substantial shortcomings. What an interesting industry shift to be continually refining/improving post-release. Thanks Fuji?

    [VK: Added changes list]

  • Panasonic S1 and S1R are worse seeling FF camera in November and December

Panasonic Japanese management discussed halving the cameras price (to $1299), but decision was not accepted as I know. Two of top managers again told that it is "amazing value" and must not be priced according to market demand. People are fools.

Price is expected to drop to such level around March now, as almost all inside company thinks that proper price must be much lower.
