    I bought the smallhd focus from adorama and I got the Anton Bauer npf976 battery thats too big for it to rotate all the way around, anyways That battery works fine but I have another npf550 thats and older one and it doesnt work really at all when its latched in all the way, if its at an angle it works and the monitor turns on, i dont get it.

    Electronics is the science about electrical contacts :-)

    Look at the things that go inside battery, most probably they are too small diameter for this battery.
