GoPro on a balanced Pole

I made myself a 3metre pole with a mount on the end for a GoPro HD Hero 2, at the other end I added another shorter pole at 90degrees with the two balance weights because I found that it rotated in my hand too easily.

Namibia Documentary Shot on GH2

Here is the first half of a doc I shot, edited and wrote (alone) called The Wild West of Namibia. Lenses: 20mm, 14-40mm and 100-300mm panny. Rode Video Mic Pro. The aerial time-lapses were with the GoPro Hero2 flying off the wing of the airplane for several hours at a time. Edited in Premiere Pro. Coffee Chain Music Night 'Promo'

Hi guys,

Last night I filmed and edited a short in a local coffee shop for their music night, it is a promotional video in the the sense that it is intended to cast a positive light upon the cafe and the enjoyment brought by the music night as apposed to an advertisement.

Any feedback or questions would be great, It's the first thing I've shot with GH2 beyond testing, friends and my garden...

It is a rough cut however I usually get attached to my rough cuts and only make small modifications in the future. The job is unpaid with the agreement that if you would like to use it then they can purchase the video for a small fee. All permission for the music have been agreed so I believe I have the full rights to sell the work, again any info on this would be much appreciated.

Interview, Report style on rather old EF300mm F2.8

Here's a very simple video which talks about the plight of Barn Owls as part of our children's homework. It has two mildly interesting aspects:

It was done with a 10 year old Canon EF 300mm f2.8 L series lens, which back focuses a bit, but otherwise seems great.
Working with near teens is like herding cats, although these two maintained great focus for about 40 mins

The sound was from a Rode NT1A on Fisk boom, this is a technique I've not used before, it does allow for quick relocations.

One for the 14-140 lovers and a seldom used LPowell GH1 Hack setting

Another nice render from the GH1 and 14-140 kit lens, ND8 filter, STD Profile 00+10. The patch for this video was the awesome but seldom used LPowell Fast Action 720p30 50Mbps @ 3-frame GOP AVCHD Patch. Shutter was mostly 1/60 but GH1 thumb dial occasionally gets knocked on the front of the camera and i find it on 1/80 at times. The lens can render some nice blurred backgrounds and pop the focus. All shot hand held.

The audio was a Zoom H1 internal mics with windsock placed on the ground in front of the performers and the commentator at the end had the Zoom stuck mid chest inside his shirt. This is the intro to the event, shot in Takapuna, Auckland, New Zealand last weekend.

I did a little videopart for my friend with my Gh2 and flowmotion and I still love that hack. I didn't put to much effort in editing and the intro (which sucks), but it's something. There's also a little gopro stuff used, but from now on I will work with my GH2 and AG-AC90 only as soon as it's delivered

I did this some months ago, but I'd like to share it and have your opinion.

I was preparing lunch at home and as usual I was going to split myself between cooking and testing my new vintage lens, a Minolta Rokkor MC 58mm f1.4, so I decided to use it for shooting myself while cooking.

It was some kind of joke, because timing was ruled by the food’s own cooking time, but it ended in 20 minutes of pure fun. (continues..)

Colored and camera oped this one. Worked with a local cinematographer to throw out the Canons (save for the 5d for a few shots) and swap for 3 GH2s. Cut seamlessly!
