This is a rock festival that I'm connected to. We did the promo and the gigs.

Promo was shot with GH2, sankor anamorphic and few nikkors, sedna hack that I won't let go. It was very simple atmospheric piece, with info written on objects, boats, cars, doors etc. Graded in Lightroom. 23hrs from idea to tv broadcast, guess I broke some record.

And one of the videos from the festival itself, done with 5 cameras, GH2, Canon 1Dc, 7d and 550d, and HMC150. Matching them was pain in the ass, but most important to me was the fact that 1Dc (though not in LOG mode and not 4K) and GH2 matched amazingly well. I like my GH2, and would rather have 25 GH2's than one 1Dc! :)) I had GH2 on the rig others around on monopods and handheld, multicam edited in premiere..

Still Master Vodka - Take A Moment

This was a fun commercial I shot at the end of August for a new product line of Canadian Vodka from Shelter Point Distillery. The clients have great personalities and it is rewarding to build relationships with people who trust my work and ideas. I think together we are developing a good brand that represents who they are. That sandbar is over 600ft from shore. It was a chore to get all our gear there at low tide. At high tide, we used row boats to cart everything back though. Coordinating the time of day for the shoot with the tides in and out for shots was tricky. It made me glad I am a sailor and knew how to read tide and current tables during preproduction! The aerial shot at the end was captured using an octocopter by Duane over at AboveGroundLevel.ca All shots on GH2 (magenta filter in front of sensor) ISO 200, Super Takumar lenses (28mm, 35mm, 50mm macro, 135mm), smooth all -2, Driftwood's Moon Trial 7, Speedbooster, colored and edited in FCPX.

I have been a Lumix owner since the GH1 was first hacked and moved to the GH2 last year.

Short film feedback time - 30 submissions, 30 rejections, where did I go wrong?

Hi,

I'm looking for some constructive feedback on my short film ‘Tom'. It seemed to go down well at a couple of local screenings but unfortunately it was rejected from all 30 film festivals I submitted to. I'd like to find out where I went wrong so I can learn from it.

Synopsis:

"Tom is a short drama about family. After his parent’s put pressure on him, 30 year old Tom finally agrees to bring his new girlfriend round to meet them for the first time. Unfortunately, things don't go quite according to plan."

GH2 - Keep Calm & Pumpkin On

This was a fun two hour shoot with two GH2's. Shot using Super Takumar lenses 20mm, 35mm, 50mm macro, 135mm, and the SLR Magic 12mm. I was able to scout the location the day before and had lots of ideas for the promo. It is often a challenge working with kids, but I quite enjoy it when things go right..ha ha. Even though I'm starting to butt up against the GH2's camera limitations I love it...and I've still gotta wait quite awhile before I get Amira : ) -Shot using Flowmotion 2.02, smooth, all -2, no filters, monopod, glidecam 4000.

The deep blue UNESCO-protected fjord Geiranger in Norway. Anamorphic.

I just released my newest short film shot on a Canon 5D Mark II (raw), including a couple of shots from my new Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera.

For quality's sake, I created a special streaming page including a download link in 1080p. It's in German, but I think it's pretty straight forward.

Plot: In a post-apocalyptic world we follow a man on his desperate way to survive.
