I think some people might be interested in this video about the onboard reporters in the Volvo Ocean Race, a round the world sailing race where each boat has dedicated reporters actually living onboard and taking video, photos and writing blogs which they share with the world using satellite connections on the boat. Seems like a really crazy job.

Rather than start a thread just for this timelapse that I wanted to share, I thought it might make more sense to have a single thread where people showcase all of their own GH4 timelapses.

Personally, I've always loved timelapses but it wasn't until I got my GH4 that I felt empowered to shoot them myself on a frequent basis.

This one is my favorite so far, though. I shot it this morning in Southern Oregon, USA:

2014 is the 300th anniversary of the composer C.P.E. Bach, one of the most influential of the sons of J.S. Bach. One of the obvious differences between the father and son is that C.P.E. wrote cello concertos, whereas J.S. Bach wrote the suites for unaccompanied cello.

Here's an excerpt from the Cello Concerto in A Minor, Wq. 170, performed on original instruments.

Advice for Selling Prints Online?

Hi everybody-

I have one of those client photo websites. Right now I mainly have photos of birds: vfsp.net. It uses shootproof.

I took a lot of the photos over the course of 5 years. Is there a good way to market them in your experiences?

I've heard people set up galleries in libraries and local places. But is there a good way to market them online (other than say Facebook and twitter)? E.g. without having to invest in prints myself (I'm thinking they may not sell at all and I don't want to end up in the red on this). Shootproof sends out the images to a printer. Printer mails them out.

Thank you in advance for any and all suggestions.

Over the last 4 years I shot a documentary exploring the figure of the underground musician, and their relationship with their hometown. 50% of the film was shot with a Canon 5D Mark II, 25% with a 550D/t2i and 25% with a GH2 (hacked, apocalypse now).

"The Masterpiece" - a short about music and magic

Hi!

We´ve just released our 2012-short to public viewing on youtube and I´d like to invite you to take a look!

It´s a film mainly shot on GH1 which eventually became hacked. Since we shot additional footage up until 2012 there´s also GH2 material in it. It was a long journey and today we´d of course make a few things better and/or differently.

Nonetheless we´re very happy with the result. But see for yourselves!

A few facts:

shot on GH1(3), GH2
audio recording via H4N + Rode NTG-2
mainly Minolta MD lenses, Oly 12-60mm F2,8 and one Vivitar 135mm
original score with some stock elements here and there
post production on Adobe CS(X), color via Colorista I & II

As for language: A Persian woman wrote on facebook "it´s so strong you don´t even need to understand the words". Maybe it´s better when you don´t speak German?! :D Anyways, there´s not much dialogue...
